Starbase Brewing is a Texas-based craft beer brand aiming to be the first brewery on Mars. Our goals are to brew delicious beer, promote science and sustainability, and develop new brewing technologies optimized for humanity's future in space. Established on Earth. Brewed for Mars. Starbase Brewing was founded by engineers who love space exploration and massive rockets as much as we love craft beer. Our company mission and brewing philosophy are heavily influenced by everything happening at Starbase Texas, and engineering is at the heart of all we do. Our beers are inspired by recent rocketry advancements, and designed to educate about the future of humanity in space. Long term, we will establish the first brewery on Mars. We are working hard to automate brewing operations and expand data collection. In the future, we plan to publish all data on our website so people can follow along with our brew days live. On Mars, robust automation and data collection will be critical to reducing human labor in a hostile working environment. All brewing water is passed through a state-of-the-art Reverse Osmosis water treatment filtration system to remove impurities. This is essential for crafting pure, flavorful, and high-quality beers. On Mars, every drop of water matters. Water treatment will allow us to recycle and reuse water efficiently on the Red Planet. Eventually, our goal is to grow all hops using in-house hydroponic systems. This will allow us to experiment with new hop strains while reducing our water usage and carbon footprint. On Mars, all food must be grown using hydroponic systems due to high levels of dangerous toxins in the Martian soil. Long term, we plan to install systems on our tanks that can capture CO2 during the fermentation process. This CO2 could be used for other operations like canning and pressure transfers. On Mars, capturing and repurposing CO2 will help establish a sustainable life-support system and promote long-term habitation. Our brewery is powered by 100% renewable energy entirely sourced from Texas wind and solar. We also recycle water in our brewing process, making us fully equipped for Mars' resource-limited environment. We actively combat emissions from our brewery by investing in carbon offset projects around the world. Even though terraforming Mars is the goal, we feel that it's equally important to invest in keeping Earth livable. We donate 1% of profits to science education. A strong education system is crucial to building public support for the space industry and inspiring future generations of scientists, engineers, and Martian pioneers.
