The story begins in the early 2000’s when Splice Cast, developed and perfected sealing technology for the safe containment of histological fluids and samples Based on the success of this launch, new additional innovative products have been launched in response to client requests; including pharmaceutical packaging consumables, delivery devices, medicine measuring spoons and other dosing solutions To mark the significant increase in medical manufacturing, the organisation applied for and subsequently gained accreditation to ISO13485, and dedicated space within the plant to a clean manufacturing environment. A further breakthrough came when Splice Cast developed and launched a safer, more comfortable, unbreakable* vaginal speculum. Over 2 years of extensive research and development went into this project, involving in-depth feedback from healthcare professionals and numerous iterations until the successful launch of the Ultraspec® Vaginal Speculum. The range continued to expand through the development of leading medical brands, EcoGold®, Retractor®, and Screening®. A further advance was made when Splice Cast launched the range of single-use instruments for surgical procedures.
