SP Leituras

SP Leituras has been transforming lives for over 10 years. The mission of SP Leituras is to encourage access to reading, literature, and knowledge. Through its actions, it embraces diversity and promotes citizenship. The free digital library of São Paulo offers more than 16,000 digital books, cultural activities, and training for professionals in the fields of Culture, Library Science, and Information Science, Reading, and Literature. The space of over 4,000 square meters offers a diverse collection and cultural programming for all audiences. In the same way as the São Paulo Library, it is an example of a living library in the park of the same name. The State System of Public Libraries of São Paulo integrates municipal and community public libraries in the state. The facility, installed in the third oldest modernist house in the city of São Paulo, has preserved architecture since 1978 and has been transformed into a venue for cultural activities since 1982. The space, which was born in the 1970s, reaches its 50th anniversary modernized and with a new format, contributing to the permanent update of its professionals.
