Silver Machine custom seats What started as a hobby after work grew, after a few saddles for friends and acquaintances, into a few saddles a month for local motorcyclists and builders. Today I enjoy making several saddles a week and you could say it has become my job. I can also say with pride that I send my work all over the world and that motorcycles with my saddles drive around from Canada to Japan to Ghana and many other countries. I am happy to make saddles for local customers here in Ermelo who are working in the garage themselves to participating in prototypes from, for example, Polaris/Indian in Switzerland and Unique Custom Cycles in Sweden (the real Swedish choppers). My customers know how to find me through word-of-mouth advertising, social media/internet and of course I also attend a trade fair or event a number of times a year to bring my work to the attention. I would describe my style as calm with an eye for detail. Every time again I try to make the best saddle I can with an honest story because a saddle is primarily for sitting on and then it has to look good and so a choice must always be made, or in other words, a combination of form and function. By working with good materials I can make a comfortable saddle that also looks good. What is that honest story then? I'm not going to tell you that I make the best or most beautiful saddles for sale, that's different for everyone and you can decide for yourself. But I like to help make the best, most beautiful for you. In recent years I have gained a lot of experience and made a saddle for many people that has improved the riding comfort and looks of the motorcycle. I (of course) also ride a motorcycle myself and can therefore talk to my customers about sitting position, seating comfort, saddle pain and adjusting and building motorcycles. What I do for my customers ranges from adjusting a simple cover and a few cm higher or lower, restoring a classic saddle to making a complete custom saddle of which I also make the base plate with custom foam and upholstery with complicated stitching patterns and details. It's all possible here and I do it with just as much pleasure.
