We continue on to polymerization which includes emulsion, solution, or suspension polymerization, depending on the required polymer properties. Customization of polymer properties through techniques like copolymerization and cross-linking, ionization, and the addition of functional groups or modifiers help enhance the polymer’s performance in specific oilfield applications. Physical, chemical, and performance testing is conducted to verify the polymer meets all specifications. The R&D team plays a key role in developing these testing protocols.
