Utilising our expertise gained over 35 years, we actively contribute to improving standards within the industry and see it as our responsibility to play a key part in improving and shaping the future of fire safety around the world. SE Controls is a proud member of the national ‘Made in Britain’ initiative that recognises and promotes British manufacturing and has had a production base in the UK for more than 15 years producing quality products and providing manufacturing jobs in the local community. Inspiring individuals Aiming to inspire future generations of engineers, we invest in apprentices and support Loughborough University by awarding a prize to students year on year that are studying the university's MSc Low Carbon Building Design and Modelling Course. The MSc course covers concept design, renewable energy technologies and energy consumption as well as advanced thermal, airflow and lighting modelling, to ensure students have a complete understanding of the principles and practice of low carbon design. Our staff are our best asset and we are proud to say that we heavily invest in ongoing training and development programmes. In such a complex, competitive, and ever-changing market, we rely on good people to lead by example and set high but achievable standards. Changing Lives through Charitable Activities Each year we ask our employees to nominate a 'Charity of the Year' to raise money for a cause close to the hearts of our staff, various charitable activities are held and encouraged throughout the year and are wholeheartedly supported by the company. Encouraging Electric Cars We will soon be installing electric car charging points in our staff car park to encourage the usage of zero-emissions vehicles to improve the air we breathe.
