In fact, products are inspected during production both visually and functionally. Visual inspections that are performed 100% automatically include: verifying that the contact spring opening is according to specification, checking that all metal components are present and according to the specification, ensuring that marking is according to design, etc. Products leaving manufacturing have already been tested on the line, with tests specially designed by Sauro on the screw tightening mechanism both mechanically and electrically. Inspections are done not only during production, but also during the packaging phase. Products packaged in a reel or cell tray intended for automatic PCB assembly are checked for pitch, alignment and protrusion of the terminals before being placed inside the reel pockets or tray cells. The correct position of the product inside the reel pocket or tray cell is then checked with an automatic optical system to ensure unimpeded pick by the pick and place machine.
