Samchem has been in operations for more than 30 years and is a leading industrial chemical distributor in Malaysia and South East Asia. Samchem started operations as a chemical distributor in Malaysia in 1989. Samchem Holdings Berhad was listed on 23 June 2009 on the Main Market of Bursa Securities Malaysia and is the ultimate holding company of the Samchem Group. Today, the Group has subsidiaries around South East Asia and is continuing to expand its network in the region. Our core business continues to be in chemical distribution representing some of the world’s major petrochemical companies including Shell, BASF, ExxonMobil and Petronas as well as specialty chemical manufacturers (Momentive, Venator, Evonik, Mitsui, Shin-Etsu, Lanxess, Afton). We supply chemicals to serve a broad range of industries such as household items, industrial cleaning products, personal care, automotive, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, paints & inks, packaging and agriculture. Over the years, our service offerings have expanded to include a range of complementary value-added service along the supply chain for our customers including logistics, warehousing, bulk-breaking and customised blending services for specific applications. Click for more details SUBSIDIARIES SAMCHEM SDN. BHD. Samchem Sdn Bhd (SCSB) was incorporated in Malaysia on 13 January 1989. SCSB is principally involved in the distribution of PU chemicals, intermediate chemicals and specialty chemicals. The company has offices and warehouses situated all around Malaysia, with its headquarters in Shah Alam. The company also has warehouses in East Malaysia in both Kuching and in Kota Kinabalu. SAMCHEM NUSAJAYA SDN. BHD. Samchem Nusajaya Sdn Bhd (SNSB) was incorporated in Malaysia on 19 March 2001. SNSB owns a 200,000 sq ft facility located strategically in the Southern Industrial Logistics Cluster (SILC) in Iskandar, Johor purpose built to provide value added services to complement its chemical distribution business, namely warehousing (DG Cargo), bulk breaking, & customised solvent blending operations. Together with Samchem Singapore Pte Ltd, the companies serve as support hub for the Group's expansion in the region. SAMCHEM LOGISTICS SERVICES SDN. BHD. Samchem Logistics Services Sdn Bhd (SLS) commenced operation in April 2007 and is involved in the provision of logistic services to serve the domestic market. SLS currently owns and operates a fleet of 25 trucks as well as outsource the services of 5 trucks from third party service providers. SAMCHEM INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. Samchem Industries was incorporated on 27 October 2000 and is principally involved in the distribution of specialty chemicals to the construction, paint & coatings industry and waste-water treatment industry. The company sells and markets premium chemical products from global chemical producers, among them, SE Tylose, BASF, Borchers and Lanxess. SAMCHEM LUBRICANTS SDN. BHD. Samchem Lubricants Sdn Bhd is an authorised Shell lubricants distributor since September 2016. Samchem Lubricants markets a full range of Shell lubricants as well as greases for the transport, construction, mining, quarry, manufacturing, engineering, marine, oil & gas sectors, etc. Samchem Lubricants area of coverage includes the East Coast states of Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu as well as the Northern states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak. www.samchemlubricants.com SAMSENTOSA CHEMICALS SDN. BHD. Samsentosa Chemicals Sdn Bhd is a joint venture between Samchem Holdings Berhad and Sentosa Sdn Bhd. The company started operations on 1 July 2016, with its headquarters in Shah Alam, Selangor. The company provides an extensive range of premium chemical products and is a distributor for globally recognized petrochemicals suppliers, among them, Venator (formerly Huntsman P&A) for its Titanium Dioxide, Mitsui for Methyl Methacrylate and Evonik for its range of functional monomers such as Methacrylic Acid (MAA), Hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) and 2-Hydroxypropylmethacrylate (HPMA). These products are used in the coatings, plastics and rubber industries. PT SAMCHEM PRASANDHA PT Samchem Prasandha was incorporated in 2010 and is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company distributes PU chemicals, intermediate chemicals and specialty chemicals from global names, among them BASF, Shell and Petronas. There are warehouses strategically located in the major industrial cities in Jakarta, Surabaya and Medan. SAMCHEM SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Samchem Singapore Pte Ltd is the distribution channel for Samchem's export to other Asian countries, including Australia and New Zealand. The office is strategically located in Westgate Tower, Jurong East and is close to the Second Link to Johor. It is complemented by the operations of Samchem Nusajaya Sdn Bhd in Iskandar, Johor Bahru, and together forms the Group's Support hub to provide value-added services such as warehousing (including Dangerous Cargo (DG), bulk-breaking and blending to chemical suppliers as well as existing customers in Singapore and Malaysia. SAM CHEM SPHERE JOINT STOCK COMPANY Incorporated in 2007 as Samchem Qua Cao in Indochina, as a chemical distributor in Indochina, it was converted to Sam Chem Sphere Joint Stock Company in 2014. The company operates in 2 major cities, Ho Chi Minh City (headquarter) and Hanoi. The company distributes PU chemicals, intermediate chemicals, lubricants from global names, among them ExxonMobil Chemical, BASF, Shell and Petronas. The company operates warehouses strategically in the north (Hanoi) and south (HCMC) as well as a thinner blending plant in the Binh Duong province.
