Founded in 1948 by master machinist Hogan C. Ryle, it was originally a machine shop doing general repairs. In 1950, W.E. Ryle began manufacturing of sprockets. He increased the capacity to manufacture sprockets to the local “oil-patch” and cotton industries and diversified into automotive, conveying, agriculture, and mining industries.
