Направленность и тематика материалов в **журнале «СВИНОВОДСТВО»** обусловлена интересами свиноводческого бизнес-сообщества и задачами, стоящими перед отраслью. В настоящее время российское свиноводство переживает сложный период возрождения. За последние годы отрасль, некогда занимавшая передовые позиции в мире, по многим показателям стала уступать свиноводству в странах развитого сельского хозяйства. Отечественным руководителям, специалистам и фермерам приходится, добиваясь конкурентоспособности, осваивать современные производственные технологии и учиться рыночным методам хозяйствования. Исходя из существующих реалий, редакция свою основную цель видит в оказании всестороннего информационного содействия отечественным производителям свинины в решении их непростых и многоплановых задач. В редакционную коллегию журнала входят известные и уважаемые в аграрном мире люди, среди которых работники МСХ РФ, учёные и руководители передовых свиноводческих хозяйств страны. The subject and orientation of the materials of **the journal "PIGBREEDING"** is conditioned by the interests of the pigbreeding business association and tasks of the brunch. On the pages of the journal you can read articles of Russian scientists about the latest achievements in the breeding work, veterinary science, technology of the pig-maintenance in the industrial pig-complexes. Nowadays the Russian pigbreeding is experiencing a complicated period of revival. For the latest years the brunch which had occupied the world's leading positions according to multiple indicators began to give in the pigbreeding in the countries with developed agriculture. The leaders, specialists and farmers of this country have to master the moder industrial technologies and learn the management of the market-based techniques in order to achieve the competitiveness. Taking into account the present reality the journal editorial board's main aim is in giving multifaceted informational assistance to the pigbreeding brunch in solution to challenging and complex problems. The Editorial Board includes well-known and respected in the agricultural world people including the employees of the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture, scientists and leaders of the country's leading pig farms.
