Global Bluetooth Device Shipments To Exceed 7 Billion Units In 2026
On January 19, 2026, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) predicted that global annual shipments of Bluetooth devices would exceed 7 billion units by 2026, with Low Energy Bluetooth accounting for 95%. Location services, asset tracking, smart home, and IoT sectors are expected to drive this growth, with shipments of location-based devices projected to triple. New technological applications such as Channel Sounding, Auracast broadcast audio, and ambient IoT are accelerating their deployment. The SIG will also host the Bluetooth Asia Congress in Shenzhen in April 2026 to promote the localized development of the technology.
