Introduction to Cross-linked Polyethylene Cables
Cross-linked polyethylene cables are produced according to the GB12706 standard for "Rated Voltage 35kV and Below Copper and Aluminum Core Plastic Insulated Power Cables." They can also be manufactured according to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), British, German, and American standards upon customer request.

Application Scope of Cross-linked Polyethylene Cables:
This product is suitable for power distribution lines with a rated frequency voltage of 3.6/kV-26/35kV for distributing electrical energy.
Characteristics of Cross-linked Polyethylene Cables:
● Rated frequency voltage Uo/U is 3.6/6KV-26/35KV.
● The allowable long-term working temperature of the cable conductor is 90℃.
● During a short circuit (lasting no more than 5 seconds), the maximum temperature of the cable conductor should not exceed 250℃.
● The ambient temperature during cable laying should not be lower than 0℃.
● Cable bending radius: For three-core cables, it should not be less than 15 times the outer diameter; for single-core cables, it should not be less than 20 times the outer diameter.
Selection of Rated Voltage for Cables
● The rated voltage of the cable should be suitable for the operating conditions of the cable system and is expressed as Uo/U(Um)KV.
Uo -- Rated power frequency voltage between the conductor designed for the cable and ground or metal shield;
U -- Rated power frequency voltage between the conductors designed for the cable;
Um -- Maximum value of the "high system voltage" that the equipment can withstand.
