The tailings/slurry pipes produced by our company are made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene wear-resistant pipes were listed as a key promotion plan for national scientific and technological achievements in the document No. 056 (2000) issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2001, classified as new materials and new products in the chemical industry. The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology have classified ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipes as priority projects for the industrialization of high-tech industries. Characteristics of Tailings/Slurry Pipes:
(1) High Abrasion Resistance: The best wear resistance among known materials. In slurry transportation, the wear life is 4-7 times that of steel pipes and more than 3 times that of ordinary PE.
(2) High Impact Resistance: At minus 40°C, it can still maintain an impact strength of 120kj/m-2, meaning the pipes can withstand any strong external impact or internal pressure fluctuations without breaking.
(3) High Flexibility: Can bend greatly during construction without cracking, can withstand significant stretching due to ground subsidence without breaking.
(4) High Corrosion Resistance: Chemically stable, resistant to the erosion of most corrosive media and organic solvents, more corrosion-resistant than polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, ABS, and other plastics.
(5) Unique Low-Temperature Resistance: It has a wide operating temperature range and can work long-term at temperatures from -269°C to +80°C, making it one of the engineering plastics that can work near zero degrees.
(6) Easy Installation: The ultra-high pipes use flange connections, and the weight of ultra-high pipes is only 1/8 that of steel pipes, which can save a large amount of installation costs.
