The grass silage wrapping technology is currently the most advanced silage technology. "Baling and wrapping" refers to the process of shredding harvested corn stalks, fresh forage, and various green plants, which are then compacted into bales by a baler at high density, and subsequently wrapped in silage plastic stretch film. The bales wrapped in this manner are placed in a sealed fermentation environment. Under anaerobic conditions, the biochemical process of lactic acid fermentation is completed in 3 to 6 weeks. The finished product has an increased crude protein content, a lowered pH value, and an improved total soluble sugar content, leading to higher livestock feed intake.
Grass silage film is a functional film that helps preserve the nutritional components of plants such as grass, corn, grains, and vegetables while preventing mold. In addition to being used directly as packaging film for the aforementioned plants or pre-made into bags for packaging, it can also be used as a covering film for fresh grass, hay, and grains.
As a packaging product of the most advanced silage feed technology, grass silage film has been widely used in countries and regions such as Europe, America, and Australia, with over ten years of mature experience. Our company has introduced advanced German multi-layer co-extruded blow film production lines, and the grass film we develop and produce uses imported linear low-density polyethylene and metallocene polyethylene as the main raw materials, processed using a unique formula and technology to create a five-layer co-extruded blow film.
Grass silage film is available in three colors: white, black, and green.
Product specifications: Specific specifications can be negotiated, and custom services are provided.
Advantages of grass silage film:
1. Low cost, quick results, and high overall benefits.
2. High-quality silage feed. The good sealing of the stretch film enhances the quality of the anaerobic fermentation environment for lactic acid bacteria, improving the nutritional value of the feed, resulting in high crude protein content, low crude fiber content, high digestibility, good palatability, and a pleasant aroma, significantly improving the quality and yield of livestock meat and milk.
3. Minimal loss and waste, with significantly reduced spoilage and feeding losses. Traditional silage losses can reach 20%-30%.
4. Long storage and freshness period. The compact sealing is effective, unaffected by seasons, sunlight, rainfall, or groundwater levels, allowing for outdoor storage for 2-3 years or more.
5. Convenient storage and easy feeding.
6. Environmentally friendly and pollution-free. Due to good sealing performance, there is no leakage of liquid. The packaging is appropriate, with a small volume and high density, making it easy to transport and commercialize, ensuring a balanced supply and year-round use of modern livestock silage feed for large, medium, and small dairy farms, beef farms, goat farms, and breeders.
Characteristics of Sarit grass silage film:
1. Good mechanical properties.
2. Protection level up to 180KLY, effectively preventing damage from sunlight, especially ultraviolet rays, ensuring low light transmission and avoiding heat accumulation.
3. Consistent quality and thickness, with good thickness distribution of 25 microns in the film.
4. Good stretching performance (even in warm weather and cold winters).
5. No holes present when stretched.
6. Good bonding seal between film layers.
7. Strong puncture resistance and excellent impact resistance.
8. Maintains mechanical properties for over a year even when stored outdoors.
9. Good sealing, blocking oxygen, air, and moisture penetration.
10. High load retention (for packaging integrity).
11. Ensures customers benefit from high-quality film standards, including UV resistance, puncture resistance, cling, and stretch properties (55-70%), even thickness.
12. Specified properties ensure the film performs well during packaging, protecting and conserving feed.
13. Specifically designed for efficient wrapping of grass bales, saving valuable time for long-term performance.
14. The grass silage film provides tightness in all three dimensions of the grass bale—this means the "grass bale" has more consistent strength and rigidity, allowing for much higher stacking of grass bales as they better retain their shape.
