What is aplastic template?

Plastic templates are energy-saving and environmentally friendly products. They are a new generation product following wood templates, composite steel templates, bamboo-wood laminated templates, and full steellarge templates. They are essentially a new type of construction template designed to replace wooden templates.

Plastic templates and wood templates: similarities and differences

The material of plastic templates is PVC. Firstly, PVC is waterproof and flame-retardant, and does not have the issues of deformation and decay when exposed to water like wooden templates. The only difference in usage methods compared to wooden templates is that no release agent needs to be applied. Due to the smooth and clean surface of plastic templates, they do not collect dust, and there is no need for secondary plastering on the walls, thus reducing two steps compared to wooden templates. Nailing, sawing, planing, and drilling are the same as with wooden templates, and specifications are no different. They can also be produced to custom lengths and cut as desired. An important point is that plastic templates are fully recyclable, even scraps can be reused.

Why has the usage rate of plastic templates remained low after several years of development?

Firstly, the country has only recently started to emphasize green buildings. The promotion of plastic templates in policies has been weak, and the government has not implemented mandatory policies for the use of green and environmentally friendly building materials. However, during the two sessions in 2016, Premier Li Keqiang pointed out in his government report that the country is actively promoting new urbanization, with many places facing demolition and reconstruction, and a huge demand for building materials. Traditional building materials have issues such as high consumption, high energy use, and significant pollution, which can no longer meet market needs. Therefore, it is crucial to actively promote green buildings and building materials and vigorously develop energy-saving and environmentally friendly industries, which is a significant favorable policy for environmentally friendly and energy-saving plastic templates.

Secondly, there is a significant disparity in quality, with many products being poorly made. Although national standards were issued in 2013, the technology is still far from mature. Achieving high-quality plastic templates will still incur high costs. If manufacturers cut corners on raw materials, it can lead to issues such as thermal expansion and contraction, brittleness in winter, and softness in summer, but these differences may not be visible externally. Currently, many low-priced plastic templates on the market are concerning; some prices are absurdly low, even below our production costs. Don't tell me they have better formulas that allow significant cost reductions; as of now, the formulas for plastic templates still remain a tricky issue, with cost differences among companies not exceeding 2%. This is already on the higher side. If the price is low, it can only indicate one thing: they are cutting corners, and quality issues are bound to arise. Given the current technology, low prices absolutely mean low quality; no other possibilities exist.

Thirdly, carpenters and builders have low acceptance. Whenever a new improved product is introduced, some people tend to observe first, looking at the usage effects of other builders. The first ones to try new things are always a minority. Unless there are compelling policies, the number of builders using the products remains small. Additionally, carpenters earn based on work progress; they are used to using wooden templates, and suddenly switching to other products can be uncomfortable. Initially, they may resist using them. At one site we worked on, an entire group of workers went on strike, refusing to use plastic templates. The project managers were quite assertive and replaced the carpenters, which ultimately resolved the problem.

Our product positioning: only produce high-quality buildings with multiple standard floors.

Why do so many companies choose to use Linyi plastic templates?

Firstly, we have hundreds of domestic and international cooperative clients, exporting to multiple countries and regions.

Secondly, our production scale and supply capacity exceed that of our competitors by three times.

Thirdly, we can deliver to the client's construction site in less than three days.

Fourthly, we can customize production according to customer requirements.

Fifthly, we can save more than 10% in costs compared to our competitors.

Linyi plastic templates have quality advantages

      1. Engaged in the plastic chemical industry for thirty years, owning multiple patents, and has developed the third-generation improved plastic template marketed for two years.

      2. Each batch of plastic templates undergoes a series of tests, including elastic modulus, Vicat temperature, impact strength, and nail holding force, and will only be shipped after passing.

      3. Strength: The independently developed plastic template formula maintains the product's strength and toughness, reducing the damage rate during violent disassembly by workers. The average usage count is 3-5 times more than competitors.

      4. Temperature resistance: Using high-temperature resistant plastic additives for modification, the plastic templates have a temperature resistance exceeding national standards by 10 degrees.

      5. High extrusion temperature results in a smoother surface and greater hardness for the plastic templates.

How plastic templates save 50% in costs

An earlier case was the Zhengzhou China State Construction Seventh Engineering Division Guanh Lake International project. When signing the contract, the budget was over 3 million, based on the budget for wood templates, but after the floors were capped, it only cost over 1 million, achieving a budget saving of more than 50%..

To save costs, the first point is that products must meet standards. If the product does not meet standards, as long as it does not exceed the budget, it is a blessing; do not think about saving costs, just stick to using wooden templates.

Secondly, construction management on-site is crucial. As plastic templates are a new product, some carpenters have not used them before, and compared to wooden templates, plastic templates might be heavier, which workers may not prefer. If they dislike it, they will develop resistance, leading to complaints about the product. We've encountered these issues before, and these complaints sound familiar; the same happened when wooden templates were promoted. The promotion of new products invariably has a transition period, but this is an inevitable trend; if the construction site insists on using them, they will not have problems.

Another major issue is waste, which is also related to construction management. Sometimes, some plastic templates can still be used, but workers prefer new boards and refuse to use the old ones, causing significant waste. However, the management method of China State Construction Seventh Engineering Division is very effective; they let two buildings use plastic templates simultaneously, then compare the two sides to see which wastes more. If there's a significant difference, it indicates that one side is not doing well, and they can directly address the issue with the labor force, assessing how to handle it. With this comparison, workers will be more cautious during the usage process, fearing waste. Consequently, the cost savings for both buildings exceeded 50%.

Many people ask me how many times plastic templates can be recycled and this is a difficult question to answer because the number of cycles directly relates to the construction team. If they are normally used with wear, then 30 times is definitely not a problem, and some can even reach 50 times, depending on how they are used. If they are mishandled, I can't guarantee anything. Therefore, the premise of achieving 30 cycles must be through normal use, not reckless waste.

Therefore, to save more than 50% of the budget, the key is first the product, and secondly, the management.
