Lotader 4700 is an ethylene-ethyl acrylate-maleic anhydride ternary copolymer. The acrylate provides softness and polarity, while maintaining high thermal stability during processing. The high acrylate content results in high flexibility (low crystallinity) and excellent impact absorption properties. Maleic anhydride offers reactivity (with OH and NH2 groups), leading to optimal dispersion when melt-blended with engineering thermoplastics. LOTADER®4700 is suitable for improving the impact strength of polyamides (PA6, PA66, PA12…). It can also be used as a compatibilizer in polyamide/polyolefin blends.
