Features:
5980i is an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer with low odor, high transparency, and high gloss. It offers excellent resistance to grease, abrasion, and adhesion to metals, cellulose products, glass, and other substrates. It reacts with amines and alkalis to form emulsions.
SK Primacor™ EAA Characteristics:
EAA provides tensile ductility and extrusion stability, sensory properties, toughness and strength, resistance to environmental stress, good heat seal and hot tack, adhesion to paper, cardboard, and polyethylene, and insensitivity to moisture.
EAA offers low heat seal initiation temperature, high hot tack, good water, grease, and oil resistance, high gloss, excellent clarity, low odor, and high wet strength retention due to crosslinking. It is a versatile non-woven fiber binder for polypropylene, polyester, glass, nylon, etc., and is used in non-food packaging applications.
Applications: Adhesives, lamination, foil primer, heat sealing, non-woven bonding, metal/paper coating; in emulsion applications, it can be effectively used for foil primer or bonding of ethylene and metallized materials. Toothpaste tubes, sterile packaging materials, rust inhibitors, cables, coatings, used as sealants and adhesive layers in flexible packaging laminates and tissue coatings.
