All-Dielectric Self-Supporting Fiber Optic Cable (ADSS)
ADSS fiber optic cable adopts a loose tube stranding structure, with 250 μm optical fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus materials, and the loose tubes are filled with a waterproof compound. The loose tubes (and filling strands) are stranded around a non-metallic reinforced core (FRP) to form a compact cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with a water-blocking gel. The outer layer of the cable core is extruded with a PE inner sheath, then wrapped with reinforcing aramid fibers, and finally extruded with a PE outer sheath or an anti-tracking (AT) outer sheath. Suitable for: self-supporting overhead installation.
Product Features:
1. Can be installed without power interruption
2. Uses AT sheath, excellent erosion resistance
3. Lightweight and compact cable, reducing the impact of ice, wind, and load on towers and supports
4. Large span, with spans exceeding 1000 meters
5. Precisely controlled aramid wrapping technology significantly improves the tensile strength of the cable
6. Precisely controlled optical fiber excess length and cable stranding pitch ensure the cable's reliability
7. Excellent tensile performance and temperature characteristics
8. Expected lifespan greater than 30 years
Product Standards:
Meets IEEE1222-2004 technical standards and complies with IED60794-1 standards
Certificates obtained by our company
Product Applications:
For 10Kv and 35Kv power lines, PE outer sheath can be used; for 10Kv and 220Kv power lines, the cable hanging points must be determined through calculations of the electric field strength distribution, and an anti-tracking (AT) outer sheath must be used. Additionally, the amount of aramid is carefully designed, and the stranding process is perfected to meet the application requirements for different spans.
