Construction Materials-Other Building Materials
Since the launch of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) pipes, we have quickly signed supply contracts with major mining enterprises in regions such as Yichun, Heilongjiang, Baotou, Inner Mongolia, Panzhihua, Sichuan, Qinghai, Hunan, and Hubei, amounting to over 100 million yuan in sales contracts within one year, laying a market foundation for the large-scale production of UHMWPE pipes. To better adapt to the pressure resistance of ultra-high-pressure pipelines and enhance the pressure resistance of the pipes themselves, we have introduced a UHMWPE composite pipeline. Due to its high wear resistance, UHMWPE has wide applications in mining transportation:
Among various pipeline materials used in mining pipes, UHMWPE has a low friction coefficient, and its exceptionally long molecular chains make its wear resistance 4-7 times higher than that of steel pipes and stainless steel pipes, and about 10 times higher than that of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes and polyethylene pipes, significantly extending the service life of the pipelines. The low resistance to material transportation ensures the stability of power equipment usage, greatly reducing the equipment failure rate. Additionally, due to its lighter weight, the construction difficulty and strength requirements are lower, resulting in lower costs. This is particularly effective in mountainous areas and under poor construction conditions.
Application of UHMWPE in the coal industry for mining and ore dressing:
In the coal industry, pipelines for transporting coal powder, mineral powder, tailings, and slurry are mostly made of steel pipes. Due to the presence of about 30% iron ore in these media, the wear on steel pipes is significant, with a typical service life of 1-2 years. For transporting mixed solid-liquid mixtures: pipelines for transporting slurry in coal mining and ore dressing include tailings pipes and concentrate pipes. The mixed slurry generated during coal sorting in coal preparation plants, such as flotation feed, flotation concentrate, and heavy medium suspensions, causes steel pipes to wear out in just 16 months, requiring substantial annual maintenance costs. Using our mining pipes can effectively address wear and corrosion issues, improve transportation efficiency, and save a considerable amount on maintenance costs.
