The steel belt corrugated pipe is a type of pipe with a high-density polyethylene (PE) matrix (inner and outer layers) and a surface coated adhesive resin steel belt composite spiral structure wall. The pipe wall structure consists of three layers: the inner layer is a continuous solid wall PE inner pipe, which is wrapped externally with (formed with steel plates into a “V” shape) annular corrugated steel belt reinforcement, and there is an outer layer of polyethylene composite on the outside of the corrugated steel belt reinforcement, thus forming a complete spiral corrugated pipe.

Baoding DN900 Pressure-Resistant Steel Belt Corrugated Pipe has similarities with double-wall corrugated pipes and corrugated pipes, but there are still significant differences fundamentally. Below is a specific introduction to the structure of the underground drainage steel belt reinforced PE corrugated pipe.
1、The steel belt reinforced PE spiral corrugated pipe is developed and produced by referencing advanced metal-plastic pipe composite technology from abroad. It is a type of pipe formed by winding PE with a steel belt melt-composite structure. Using high-density polyethylene as the matrix and high-strength steel belt formed by spiral winding as the reinforcement, a unique manufacturing process is adopted to fuse the steel belt with high-density polyethylene into one. This gives it the flexibility of plastic pipes and the rigidity of metal pipes. The use of special materials and processes solves the corrosion problem of steel plates and the adhesion between steel plates and PE materials, ensuring that the lifespan of steel belt reinforced PE corrugated pipes is the same as that of pure plastic pipes, guaranteed to exceed 50 years. The steel belt is bent into an arc and distributed in a spiral manner on the pipe, forming peaks that continuously enhance the pipe's strength. At the peaks, the structure from inside to outside consists of five layers: inner polyethylene, adhesive resin, steel belt, adhesive resin, and outer polyethylene; at the valleys, there are two layers: inner polyethylene and outer polyethylene.

1、Impact resistance: The pipe wall adopts a 'U' shaped structure, which is impact-resistant and pressure-resistant, and will not rupture under ground subsidence, and it has strong resilience after deformation, showing good adaptability to the foundation;
2、Cold resistance: The pipe will not freeze and crack or expand to leak in an environment of -60℃;
3、Chemical resistance: It is not polluted or corroded by wastewater and chemicals, and will not corrode due to decomposed materials in the soil;
4、Aging resistance: The pipe is usually black and can withstand direct sunlight during storage and construction;
5、Completely reliable ring stiffness: Due to the elastic modulus ratio of steel and plastic materials being greater than 200, and the weight ratio being greater than 7.85, the steel belt reinforcement makes the pipe (especially large diameter pipes) have sufficiently reliable ring stiffness and a relatively high stiffness-to-weight ratio compared to pure plastic pipes.
