90PEDrain Pipe, PE Water Pipe, Polyethylene Pipeline
Luoyang Guorun Pipe Industry specializes in supplying HDPE mining pipes, PE sand suction pipelines, PE water pipes, and polyethylene pipelines.
The welding of PE sand suction pipelines and the butt welding of PE pipes provide high reliability across a range of diameters and pressure processes: the ends of the heated pipes are brought together using a tool called "contact pressure" and "temperature defined under 'mirror'." The ends are quickly brought into contact and held under pressure during the cooling process.
HDPE mining pipes are a type of polyethylene plastic, a basic form of plastic, as seen in plastic bags, cling film, etc. HDPE is a highly crystalline, non-polar thermoplastic resin. The raw HDPE appears milky white and is somewhat translucent in thin sections. PE has excellent resistance to most household and industrial chemicals.
90PEDrain Pipe,Polyethylene PipelineChemical Properties:
Polyethylene is resistant to various organic solvents and to many acid-base corrosions, but it is not resistant to oxidizing acids such as nitric acid. In an oxidizing environment, polyethylene can be oxidized.
90PEDrain Pipe,Polyethylene PipelinePhysical Properties:
Polyethylene can be considered transparent in film form, but in bulk form, it becomes opaque due to strong light scattering caused by the large number of crystals inside. The degree of crystallinity of polyethylene is affected by the number of branching chains; the more branches, the more difficult it is to crystallize. The melting temperature of polyethylene crystals is also influenced by the number of branches, ranging from 90°C to 130°C; the more branches, the lower the melting temperature. Single crystal polyethylene is typically prepared by dissolving high-density polyethylene in a solvent at temperatures above 130°C.
90PEDrain Pipe,Polyethylene Pipeline Specifications and Connection Methods:
The diameter of PE sand suction pipelines ranges from DN16 to DN315, with a total of 18 levels. The pressure ratings range from 0.25Mpa to 1.0Mpa, with 4 levels in total.
HDPE water supply pipes will melt at temperatures between 190°C and 240°C. Utilizing this property, the two melted parts of the pipe (or fittings) are brought into sufficient contact under appropriate pressure, and after cooling, they can be firmly fused together. Therefore, the connection methods for PE pipes differ from those of U-PVC pipes, typically using electric heat fusion connections and hot melt butt connections. Depending on the pipe diameter: for DN≤63, injection molded heat fusion socket connections are used; for DN≥75, hot melt butt connections or electric fusion socket connections are used; flanged or threaded connections are used when connecting different materials.
For pipeline repair methods, there are expansion pipe construction methods and internal lining with HDPE methods.
90PEDrain Pipe, Polyethylene Pipeline Application Fields:
Polyethylene pipelines are mainly used in: municipal engineering water supply systems, indoor water supply systems for buildings, outdoor buried water supply systems, water supply systems for residential areas and factory areas, old pipeline repairs, water treatment project pipeline systems, and industrial water pipes for gardens, irrigation, and other fields.
However, it should be noted that HDPE pipes cannot be used for hot water pipelines.
90PEDrain Pipe,Polyethylene Pipeline Advantages in Application:
HDPE water supply pipelines are widely used mainly due to their unmatched advantages over other pipelines:
1. Easy to socket weld and electric fusion weld to form a complete sealed seepage-proof system. When laid along trenches, it can reduce the amount of excavated soil and the quantity of fittings used.
2. Lightweight and easy to install and handle;
3. Strong abrasion resistance and excellent hydraulics, allowing buried pipelines to require no outer layer of protection. They can be used in earthquake-prone areas and areas experiencing soil settlement, and can also be laid using the sinking method at the bottom of rivers.
4. Resistant to chemical corrosion, both internal and external as well as microbial corrosion, with strong corrosion resistance and health safety. Suitable for transporting acidic and alkaline substances, sewage, natural gas, and coal gas, etc.;
5. Good environmental adaptability and frost resistance. Can be used for both indoor and outdoor water supply pipelines.
6. Long service life, with a lifespan exceeding nearly 50 years;
7. Easy to recycle.
Considerations for the Application of Polyethylene Pipelines:
1. For outdoor installations exposed to sunlight, it is recommended to implement shading measures.
2. For buried HDPE water supply pipelines, DN≤110 can be slightly serpentine laid in summer installations, while DN≥110 pipelines have sufficient soil resistance to withstand thermal stress, and do not require reserved pipe lengths; in winter, no reserved pipe length is needed.
3. If the working space is too small during HDPE pipeline installation (e.g., pipeline wells, construction in ceilings, etc.), electric fusion connection methods should be used.
4. During hot melt socket connections, the heating temperature should not be too high or too long; it is best to control the temperature at 210±10°C, otherwise, excessive molten slurry will be extruded from the fittings, reducing the internal diameter of the water flow; the socket and pipe joint must be clean, otherwise, it may cause leakage at the socket; at the same time, it is important to control the angle and direction of the fittings to avoid rework.
5. During hot melt butt connections, the voltage should be maintained between 200~220V; if the voltage is too high, it will cause the heating plate temperature to be too high, and if the voltage is too low, the butt welding machine cannot operate normally; during the connection, the interfaces should be aligned; otherwise, it may result in insufficient butt area, inadequate weld strength, and misalignment; if the pipe joint is not cleaned before heating, or if the heating plate has grease, dirt, or other impurities, it may cause the joint to leak; the heating time must be controlled well; if the heating time is too short, the pipe will not absorb enough heat, leading to insufficient weld edges; if the heating time is too long, the weld edges may be too large, potentially leading to false welds.
