1. Drainage pipes should be selected according to local conditions based on factors such as drainage properties, composition, temperature, groundwater erosion, external loads, soil conditions, and construction conditions. If conditions permit, underground plastic drainage pipes should be prioritized. The following specifications should be adhered to: gravity flow drainage pipes should preferably use underground plastic pipes, concrete pipes, or reinforced concrete pipes; drainage pipes leading to community sewage treatment facilities should use plastic drainage pipes; for special sections such as crossing ditches and rivers or under pressure, steel pipes or cast iron pipes can be used. If plastic pipes are used, a metal casing should be added (the casing diameter should be 200mm larger than the outer diameter of the plastic pipe). When the drainage temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius, metal drainage pipes or high-temperature resistant plastic pipes should be used; pipes for transporting corrosive wastewater can use plastic pipes; the circumferential bending stiffness of plastic drainage pipes under roads and driveways should not be less than 8kN/square meter, while under non-traffic areas and other sections, it should not be less than 4kN/square meter.
2. Indoor drainage pipes should use plastic building drainage pipes and fittings or flexible joint cast iron drainage pipes and their corresponding fittings.
3. In environments where the temperature may drop below 0 degrees Celsius, metal drainage pipes should be used; for drainage systems where continuous or frequent drainage temperatures exceed 40 degrees Celsius or momentary drainage temperatures exceed 80 degrees Celsius, such as in public baths, hotels with hot water supply systems, and high-temperature drainage equipment, metal drainage pipes or heat-resistant plastic drainage pipes should be used.
4. Pressure drainage pipes can use pressure-resistant plastic pipes, metal pipes, or coated composite steel pipes.
5. For buildings with high construction standards or in quiet environments, if the noise from the water flow in ordinary plastic drainage pipes does not meet noise control requirements, appropriate sound insulation or structural isolation measures should be taken, such as using specially designed sound-absorbing pipes and fittings, employing sound-insulating walls (solid walls, lightweight partition walls, sound-insulating walls filled with foam plastic, etc.), placing rubber pads on pipe supports, wrapping sound-absorbing insulating materials around pipes that penetrate floors, and setting up ventilation pipes for fixtures.
6. When selecting plastic drainage pipes for laboratories, classrooms, or hospitals that discharge acidic or alkaline wastewater, attention should be paid to the corrosion of the wastewater's acidity, alkalinity, and chemical composition on plastic pipe materials and joint materials.
7. For high-rise buildings exceeding 100 meters in height, drainage pipes should use flexible joint cast iron drainage pipes and their fittings.
8. Ventilation pipes can use plastic pipes and flexible joint cast iron drainage pipes.
9. Connection methods: (1) The connection of UPVC, CPVC, SNA+PVC pipes and fittings should preferably use matching adhesives for socket bonding; vertical pipes may also use elastic sealing rings for connection.
The specifications of PVC water supply pipes mainly include: 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90, 110, 125, 140, 160, 180, 200, 225, 250, 280, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 630. The most commonly used specification is 110. Many people are also concerned about the wall thickness of the water supply pipes. In fact, the wall thickness varies under different pressure ratings, making it difficult to summarize in one sentence. However, manufacturers usually provide specific tables to address this issue. Therefore, if you want to understand wall thickness and other in-depth issues, it is best to consult the manufacturer's customer service.
PVC Water Supply Pipe
PVC water supply pipes come in a wide variety of specifications, mainly related to their performance. Due to the strong corrosion resistance, low fluid resistance, high mechanical strength, sanitation, non-toxicity, good water tightness, long service life, and lightweight characteristics of PVC water supply pipes, they are used in numerous projects, leading to a wide range of required specifications. Manufacturers naturally want to produce various specifications of PVC water supply pipes for everyone to choose from.
Are there any requirements for the installation of PVC pipes? Proper installation of PVC pipes will ensure smooth water usage without issues such as uneven flow or blockage. Additionally, aesthetics must be ensured, so the installation and laying of PVC drainage pipes require many methods and techniques. Below, the PVC pipe manufacturer shares the installation requirements and specifications for PVC pipes.
1. The fusion joint between the electric fusion fittings and the pipe must be kept dry.
2. The connecting surfaces of the pipes and fittings must be dry, clean, and free of oil.
3. The cut end of the pipe must be perpendicular to the pipe axis. Pipe cutting is generally done using pipe shears or pipe cutting machines. If necessary, a sharp hacksaw may be used, but the cut surface of the pipe must be deburred.
4. The hot melt tool should be powered on, and operation should only begin when the green indicator light is on and the working temperature is reached.
5. During heating, the pipe end should be inserted into the heating sleeve without rotation to the marked depth while simultaneously pushing the fitting onto the heating head without rotation until it reaches the specified mark. Heating time should comply with the instructions for the welding tool.
6. After reaching the heating time, the pipe and fitting should be removed from the heating mold simultaneously and quickly inserted straight without rotation to the marked depth to form a uniform flange at the joint.
7. Within the specified time, the freshly welded joint can be adjusted, but it must not be rotated.
8. When welding elbows or tees, attention should be paid to the direction according to the design drawings, and auxiliary marks should be made along the straight direction of the fittings and pipes.
9. The standard heating time for electric fusion connections should be provided by the manufacturer and adjusted according to different ambient temperatures.
10. During pipe installation, bending should not occur. When passing through walls or floors, correction should not be forced. When laying alongside other metal pipes, the clearance should be greater than 100mm, and polypropylene pipes should be on the inside of the metal pipes.
11. Exposed indoor pipes should be installed after building finishing is complete. Prior to installation, correct reservation of openings should be made in conjunction with the construction, with dimensions preferably 50mm larger than the outer diameter of the pipe. When pipes pass through floors, steel casings should be set, with the casing rising 50mm above the floor (ground).
12. Strict waterproof measures should be taken when pipes pass through floors and roofs, with fixed supports set on both sides of the penetration point.
13. Pipes concealed under floor layers and within walls should be subjected to water pressure testing and acceptance of concealed works and recorded.
14. When pipes pass through foundation walls, metal casings should be set to ensure the security of your installation.
PVC Pipe Specification Introduction
PVC can be divided into soft PVC and hard PVC, with hard PVC accounting for about two-thirds of the market and soft PVC for one third. Soft PVC is generally used for flooring, ceilings, and the surface layer of leather, but due to the presence of plasticizers (which is the main difference between soft and hard PVC), it is prone to brittleness and not easy to preserve, thus limiting its usage scope. Hard PVC does not contain plasticizers, making it flexible, easy to shape, not brittle, non-toxic, and pollution-free, with a long preservation time, giving it great development and application value.
PVC has poor combustion performance, extinguishing once the fire is removed, classifying it as a difficult-to-burn plastic. Additionally, it has excellent electrical insulation properties, making it suitable for protective casings for wires and cables. PVC pipes have very high water pressure strength, external pressure strength, impact strength, etc., making them suitable for various piping projects under different conditions, with a wide range of applications.
Factors Affecting the Price of PVC Drainage Pipes
The price of PVC pipes varies under different conditions and demands. For example, different diameters and wall thicknesses will naturally lead to different prices. In addition, different brands have different market positions and raw materials, leading to differences in quality and price. It is important to note that when purchasing PVC drainage pipes, it is essential to buy reliable quality, as the price of PVC pipes is not high, and the differences between different brands are not significant. However, quality differences can lead to greater losses. Therefore, the quality of PVC drainage pipes is more important.
Factors Affecting the Price of PE Pipes
1. From the perspective of PE pipes themselves, the raw materials are decisive for the price of the pipes. Some PE pipe manufacturers now use recycled materials to reduce costs, but these materials do not meet the pressure standards, and their tensile length does not meet requirements, particularly regarding sanitation; additionally, pipes made from recycled materials have rough inner walls and contain impurities. While the cost of such pipes is reduced, their quality is greatly affected. Thus, when purchasing PE pipes, it is essential to understand market conditions and avoid buying excessively cheap pipes.
2. Regarding the types and specifications of PE pipes, PE pipes have a wide range of applications, such as water supply pipes, conduit pipes, corrugated pipes, etc. These pipes have differences in structure, process, and performance, leading to cost variations. People should determine the price level according to the specific type of pipe. Moreover, differences in pipe diameter, wall thickness, length, etc., will also affect the amount of material used and the time spent, which will similarly influence the price level of PE pipes.
How much does PVC pipe cost per meter? This is a frequently asked question by those purchasing PVC pipes. The price per meter of PVC pipes is significantly affected by product categories, specifications, models, manufacturers, brands, and quality. Therefore, this question is relatively vague, and a clear understanding of these factors is necessary to quote based on specific situations. The prices for different types of PVC pipes can vary greatly. Below, I provide examples of the prices for PVC water pipes per meter.
Generally speaking, the price range for PVC water pipes from manufacturers is approximately: 50*2 of 4 = 5.5 yuan/meter, 75*2.3 of 6 = 8 yuan/meter, 110*3.2 of 14-17 yuan/meter, 160*4 of 30-32 yuan/meter, 200*5 of 50-54 yuan/meter (the diameter following denotes wall thickness in mm). The prices above are provided for market reference.
PVC pipes are not only used in our daily lives but are also frequently employed in industrial applications.
