Xaloy Acquires Italy’s Maxi Melt to Strengthen European Plastification Components Business
Polymer processing equipment manufacturer Xaloy acquired Maxi Melt. Maxi Melt is a company located in Casalborgone, Italy, specializing in supplying plasticizing components for extrusion and injection molding.
Xaloy, headquartered in Austintown, Ohio, stated that this acquisition expands its capabilities in plasticizing components and further strengthens its position in customer markets through the integration of engineering, material, and application technology expertise. Xaloy’s global presence also includes Germany, Japan, Thailand, and China.

Expand European market layout
Xaloy CEO Kamal Tiwari stated: “Maxi Melt has established a solid business foundation in the European market through its customer-centric philosophy and professional application expertise. This integration will broaden our capabilities, enabling us to deliver higher-quality support to customers with more comprehensive solutions.”
For Maxi Melt, this transaction will leverage Xaloy’s scale advantages to drive growth. Renzo Cavazza, Managing Director of Maxi Melt, stated, “This is an important step for Maxi Melt.” He noted that Xaloy’s technical resources and manufacturing capabilities will help Maxi Melt enhance its products and services. Cavazza also mentioned, “While continuing to deepen our commitment to customer service, we will steadily expand our business capabilities.” In addition to its headquarters in Italy, Maxi Melt also has a production facility in the Netherlands.
Xaloy stated in its announcement that Maxi Melt will retain its existing brand and operate independently, with its team, customer relationships, and business model remaining unchanged. The integrated company will leverage the complementary strengths of both parties to expand its business capabilities and support long-term growth.
Xaloy launches AI-driven plastic processing tools
At the beginning of this year, Xaloy officially launched Xalence, an intelligent digital assistant. Leveraging artificial intelligence technology, this product provides real-time professional guidance to processing enterprises, helping them make smarter decisions throughout the entire polymer processing workflow.
According to Xaloy, the Xalence platform integrates the company's entire expertise in materials, applications, and components, creating a one-stop, user-friendly platform. The platform helps users select the best solutions, troubleshoot process issues, and quickly respond to technical inquiries, bringing new levels of efficiency and precision to polymer processing.
Acquisition in the twin-screw technology field
In September 2025, Xaloy completed the acquisition of Canadian company Ultimate Twin Screws (UTS). According to PlasticsToday at the time, the transaction achieved synergies: Xaloy had a well-established business in single screws and twin barrels, while UTS specialized in the design and production of twin screws, creating a complementary relationship.
