On May 20, 2026, Sumitomo Plastic Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Suzhou Branch (Sumitomo) and the Taiwan Association for Computer-Aided Mold Technology (ACMT) officially signed a memorandum of cooperation for a technology partnership alliance. The two parties will work together to promote an intelligent injection molding solution covering the full process from “mold T-zero mass production” to “high-quality injection molding production.”

This collaboration will deeply integrate Sumitomo's advanced injection molding technology "AI Molding 2.0" with ACMT's "SMART Molding" intelligent molding platform, using "loop-chain symbiosis" and "modular resonance" as core pathways to build a data-driven, self-optimizing new ecosystem for intelligent manufacturing.

The collaboration plan is powered by a dual-engine approach: Sumitomo AI Molding 2.0 and the injection molding MES system. The former, as intelligent hardware, uses AI models to automatically adjust injection parameters, enabling dynamic resonance between materials and machines; the latter, as the brain of the factory, connects data across the entire manufacturing process and builds full lifecycle traceability.
