At Chinaplas, Arburg showcased a system for producing precision gears using the new 100-ton electric machine TREND. The gears are made of POM, using a three-plate mold with a cold runner, in a single-cavity configuration.
Gears with a high number of teeth, large modulus, and thicker walls have very high requirements for machine stability, repeatability, and pressure-holding duration. Currently, TREND can provide...Ultra-long, ultra-high pressure holding at 2300 bar for 45 seconds.For gears with relatively thick wall sections, sustained high holding pressure can be applied to compensate for shrinkage; additionally, functions such as precise screw positioning and material storage assistance help maximize the repeatability and stability of each injection cycle.
