Old Clogs Get a Makeover! Crocs Transforms Shoe Material into Frisbees, Embracing Circular Economy
Trash Panda Disc Golf, headquartered in Denver, USA, has partnered with Crocs, based in Broomfield, to co-develop custom disc golf discs made entirely from recycled plastic. The raw materials consist exclusively of recycled plastic, including crushed waste Crocs footwear collected through the brand’s “Old Crocs. New Life.” shoe recycling program. The two companies stated that this collaboration demonstrates that thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and Crocs’ proprietary Croslite material can be efficiently recycled and remanufactured into durable sports equipment.
