In recent years, with the joint efforts of various parties, China's power and energy storage battery industry has rapidly grown and developed, forming a global competitive advantage in terms of market scale, innovation capability, and industrial system. At the same time, the industry development still faces many problems and challenges.

On November 28th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium for manufacturing enterprises in the power and energy storage battery industry. Li Lecheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out at the meeting that the Ministry should fully and objectively understand the development situation of the industry, earnestly implement the decision and deployment of the Central Committee on comprehensive rectification of "involution" competition, accelerate the introduction of targeted policy measures, govern irrational competition in the power and energy storage battery industry in accordance with the law, strengthen capacity monitoring, early warning and regulation, increase production consistency and product quality supervision and inspection, combat intellectual property violations, guide enterprises to scientifically plan capacity layout, and rationally and orderly "go global," striving to promote high-quality development of the industry.

Li Lecheng emphasized that industry enterprises should vigorously promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, resolutely resist irrational competitive behavior, and jointly maintain a healthy and orderly market environment. They must adhere to innovation-led growth, increase investment in research and development, address shortcomings and weaknesses, and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. Strengthening industry chain collaboration, enhancing cooperation, leveraging synergistic incremental effects, and improving the autonomy and controllability of the industry chain are essential to shaping new development advantages. Industry associations should deepen tracking research on industry development, strengthen industry self-discipline, and promote the construction of a collaborative and win-win industrial ecosystem.
