Joint Venture Pure Electric Surpasses 10,000 Units, Dongfeng Nissan N7 Delivers 10,148 Units in August
On September 1st, Dongfeng Nissan officially announced that its mid-to-large pure electric sedan, the N7, achieved deliveries of 10,148 units in August, representing a month-on-month growth of 57%, making it the first joint-venture pure electric model to surpass 10,000 deliveries in a single month.

This achievement not only marks the N7’s official entry into the “ten-thousand-unit club”, but also sets a new sales benchmark for joint venture brands in the fiercely competitive new energy vehicle market.
Since its launch on April 27, the sales of the N7 have been continuously rising. Deliveries reached 6,189 units in June, increased to 6,455 units in July, and surpassed the 10,000-unit mark in August. To support order demand, Dongfeng Nissan has increased the August production plan to 10,013 units, nearly doubling its capacity, and shortened the delivery cycle to 2-4 weeks.
Wang Qian, General Manager of Dongfeng Nissan New Energy Brand, said: "Features that are only available in the 200,000-yuan range, the N7 has brought down to under 150,000 yuan," precisely targeting the budgets and needs of mainstream family users.
It should be noted that the N7 has brought the entry price of mid-to-large pure electric sedans down to 119,900 yuan for the first time, with the top configuration priced under 150,000 yuan. Correspondingly, it offers executive-class space with a length of 4930mm and a wheelbase of 2915mm, as well as a range option between 510-635km. In terms of intelligence, the N7 is equipped with the NISSAN OS infotainment system, the Momenta end-to-end intelligent driving solution, and features AI zero-pressure cloud blanket seats and master-level audio.
For a long time, the 150,000 to 200,000 yuan pure electric vehicle market has been dominated by emerging forces and domestic brands. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, in the sales rankings for August in the same segment, the N7 has ranked second among mid-to-large pure electric sedans for eight consecutive weeks, only behind the Xiaomi SU7, and has topped the joint venture new energy vehicle overall rankings for three consecutive weeks. Industry analysts point out that the explosive popularity of the N7 proves that as long as price, configuration, and channels are aligned, joint venture brands still have the ability to make a comeback.
The hot sales of the N7 have also exposed common pain points during the transformation period of traditional automakers. Previously, due to supply chain coordination and production ramp-up issues, the N7 experienced delivery delays. In response, Dongfeng Nissan launched a comprehensive special support mechanism across the entire chain, fully prioritizing delivery frontline needs from batteries and chips to logistics, ensuring that production capacity and orders increase in sync.
As the peak sales season of "Golden September and Silver October" approaches, Dongfeng Nissan has preemptively unveiled the Rose Mocha limited interior and multiple purchase benefits at the Chengdu Auto Show to further secure young family customers.
Industry insiders predict that if the N9 is followed by a hybrid or performance version, Dongfeng Nissan is expected to increase the proportion of new energy vehicles to 30% by 2025, providing a replicable model for the electrification transformation of joint venture brands.
