Investing $80 Million to Build a Global PET Recycling Advanced Equipment Super Factory

New Observations on Waste Plastics 2025-08-14 13:53:57

Since March 1997, Evian Group has invested in Shanghai, China, establishing the world's third-largest production base after the United States and Australia. It has been consistently committed to creating world-class solid waste recycling and environmental protection equipment.

Evian invests 80 million USD in Jiangsu

In November 2022, the group's strategic layout made another advancement by investing 80 million USD in Jiangsu to initiate the construction of its fourth largest global production base—Paco (Jiangsu) Environmental Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. This base aims to establish a world-leading super factory for PET recycling and washing advanced equipment, targeting the "Mount Everest" of global PET recycling equipment.

The project covers an area of approximately 150 mu and was officially inaugurated at the end of 2023. Currently, the intelligent and automated super factory with a total construction area of nearly 100,000 square meters has been completed and officially put into operation in August this year.

The factory integrates a modern production workshop, a large-scale equipment commissioning center, and advanced laboratories, and is equipped with the world's first independently developed small-scale simulation experimental testing line within the industry. This unique experimental line provides millisecond-level data validation for next-generation PET recycling technology, offering crucial scientific empirical data support for the in-depth research and development of PET regeneration and recycling cleaning equipment.

The commissioning of this super factory marks the official birth of the world’s largest and most intelligent advanced PET recycling equipment manufacturing base in China. It will not only powerfully meet the growing global demand for high-end PET bottle flakes and PET waste film recycling equipment, but also significantly drive the technological upgrading and rapid development of the global environmental recycling industry. Its production capacity can meet 30% of the global demand for high-end bottle flake and waste film recycling equipment, and is expected to accelerate the industry’s technological iteration speed by more than 50%, injecting a “Chinese engine” into the circular economy.
