Germany's Brückner Group Acquires Hennecke, Expands Polyurethane Processing Business
On December 15, Specialized Plastic Vision learned that Brückner Group recently announced the acquisition of Hennecke Group, incorporating core technologies in the polyurethane (PUR) processing field into its global product portfolio to achieve business expansion.

Hennecke's expertise in the field of reactive plastics will contribute high-tech solutions based on material innovation to Brückner, a company headquartered in Germany. This technology is applicable to various industries such as construction, furniture, and refrigeration, and is expected to create new diversification potential for the group.
Headquartered in St. Augustine, Germany, Hennecke Group expects to gain momentum for expansion through this transaction. "This merger will not only integrate the technical expertise and global market presence of both parties but also lay the foundation for us to strengthen our position in the international polyurethane market," said Hennecke CEO Thomas Wildt. "This step is a natural extension of our Hennecke business system and our Focus2030 sustainable growth strategy. By partnering with the Bruckner Group, we will be able to tap into innovation potential and growth opportunities more quickly in the future."
Brückner Maschinenbau is a global leader in the production of stretching film lines for packaging and high-tech applications. The group already owns two companies, Kiefel and PackSys Global, and Hennecke will soon join them. Currently, the Brückner Group operates 17 production sites in 12 countries, including its North American headquarters in Dover, New Hampshire, employing a total of 2,700 people and reporting sales of 1.2 billion dollars.
Bruckner pointed out that Hennecke has production bases in Germany, Italy, the United States, and China, and enjoys a good reputation, especially outside the packaging sector in the plastics industry. This will ultimately help Bruckner enter new product areas and strengthen its global technology expertise matrix. Hennecke currently has 650 employees and reported sales of over 150 million euros (approximately 176 million dollars).
The seller in this transaction is Capvis AG, a Swiss private equity firm that holds a majority stake in Henneke, and the transaction is expected to be completed in January 2026.
