GAC Group Sets Up User Insights Department to Address Losses

IT Home 2025-08-06 14:11:14

GAC Group has newly established a User Insights Department with a planned scale of 200 people. This department is under the Product Division and was officially established on July 1st. It is mainly responsible for building a user insights system, analyzing user needs and market trends, and supporting product strategy and iterative decision-making.

Since the beginning of this year, GAC Group has frequently implemented internal reforms, dividing the GAC Research Institute into the Vehicle Development Institute, Platform Technology Institute, and Styling Design Institute. Together with the Product Division, they form a large R&D system. All departments are first-level departments and report directly to the Group.

The group expects a net loss attributable to owners of the parent company of 1.82 billion to 2.6 billion yuan for the first half of 2025, representing a loss compared to the same period last year. In response to market conditions, GAC Group has formulated a three-year "Panyu Action" plan. In the first half of the year, it vigorously implemented integrated operations reform for its independent brands and actively promoted reform, innovation, and transformation upgrades, laying a foundation for stable performance and recovery.

In the second half of the year, GAC Group will continue to advance its strategy of "stabilizing joint ventures, strengthening independence, and expanding the ecosystem" by launching new extended-range models, accelerating channel penetration, and enhancing new media marketing efforts, striving to boost sales and improve revenue. In June 2025, GAC Group's vehicle sales reached 150,100 units, a year-on-year decrease of 8.22% and a month-on-month increase of 27.5%; the cumulative sales for the first half of the year were 755,300 units, a year-on-year decrease of 12.48%.
