Flexible Production Line With Copolymerization And Homopolymerization Product Capabilities: 300,000 Tons/Year High-Pressure Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Unit Commences Construction

Innovation and Development Study Group for Olefin Industry 2025-08-12 11:56:45

On August 9th, the 300,000-ton-per-year high-pressure low-density polyethylene unit of the Tarim Phase II ethylene project at Dushanzi Petrochemical Company officially commenced construction. This marks that all main units of the Tarim Phase II ethylene project have entered the construction phase, laying a solid foundation for the overall progress of the project. The unit is expected to achieve intermediate delivery on September 30, 2027.

The 300,000-ton/year high-pressure low-density polyethylene unit is a co-production unit for EVA and is currently the only flexible production line in China's refining industry with the capability to produce both copolymer and homopolymer products.

The high-pressure low-density polyethylene (LDPE) unit is a key piece of equipment in chemical production. Through the high-pressure polymerization process, ethylene monomers are converted into low-density polyethylene resin, providing essential materials for packaging, agriculture, industry, and many other fields. It serves as a crucial link in the chemical industry chain, connecting basic chemical raw materials with end consumer products. The construction of this 300,000-ton-per-year high-pressure low-density polyethylene unit will further enhance Dushanzi Petrochemical Company's production capacity and competitiveness in the related fields, injecting new momentum into the industry's development.
