First Batch of Products Shipped From Daxie Petrochemical's 2×450,000 t/a Polypropylene (PP) Units
On August 27, in front of the three-dimensional warehouse of the Ningbo Daxie Petrochemical's 2×450,000-ton/year polypropylene plant, a freight truck loaded with PPH-T03 polypropylene pellets slowly left the factory area. This not only marked the official debut of the first batch of polypropylene products from the new facility but also signified the successful completion of the entire process from construction and commissioning to market launch. It injects new vitality into the company's polypropylene market and lays a solid foundation for the development of the high-end chemical industry chain.
The Daxie Petrochemical Phase V Polypropylene Unit adopts Sinopec’s independently developed third-generation ST loop reactor polypropylene process technology. With its strong technical capabilities, the unit can flexibly produce a wide range of products, including homopolymers, random copolymers, and impact copolymers, successfully breaking through the capacity and product limitations of traditional units. The project has also introduced an intelligent automated warehouse system, fully embodying the concept of “smart chemical manufacturing.” Intelligent stacker cranes operate with precision, and the intelligent management system schedules operations efficiently, realizing fully automated management of the entire process from polypropylene production to shipment, significantly improving warehousing efficiency. Relying on digital twin technology, the project enables real-time monitoring of inventory status, ensuring that every batch of products is traceable and its source can be tracked, providing a “double guarantee” for product quality and safety. It also sets a new benchmark for intelligent upgrades in the chemical industry.

Project Introduction
The Daxie Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project's 2×450,000 tons/year polypropylene units are currently the largest polypropylene project of the same series in China. The product types include homopolymers, random copolymers, and impact copolymers. After the project is completed, Daxie Petrochemical’s polypropylene capacity will reach 1.2 million tons per year, which will help strengthen Daxie Petrochemical’s industrial foundation and develop and expand its industrial chain.
