"European Carbon Fiber Alliance" Established! Led by Four Giants, Aiming for the Global Carbon Fiber Industry Summit
The European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) recently announced the launch of the "Carbon Fiber Europe" alliance. This new alliance aims to assist the growth of the carbon fiber industry on the European continent.
The founding members of the industry working group include Hexcel Composites, Mitsubishi Chemical Europe, Teijin Group, and Toray Industries. According to EuCIA, the work of the European Carbon Fiber Alliance will focus on four strategic pillars: policy advocacy and industry representation, sustainable development and circular economy, innovation and research & development, as well as health and safety management.

The organization also plans to promote responsible production practices, advocate for a circular economy model, and support efforts to reduce the carbon footprint in the carbon fiber value chain, including end-of-life management.

Basel stressed the role of this material in the application of lightweight, high-performance composite materials in various fields such as transportation, energy, aerospace, and defense.
Carbon Fiber Europe is currently formulating its priority actions and working group structure, and is expected to launch a dedicated website soon.
