DuPont China Signs Agreement!
On July 21, Yantai Shunda Polyurethane Co., Ltd. and DuPont China Group Co., Ltd. signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in Yantai. Centered on "high-performance building products + integrated engineering services," the two parties will provide energy-saving, efficient, safe, and green low-carbon system solutions for various scenarios such as cold chains, energy, shipping, and mining in both China and overseas markets.
DuPont possesses globally leading technologies such as the fourth-generation HFO low-GWP environmentally friendly foaming system, low-pressure two-component polyurethane, and waterproof vapor-permeable vapor barrier membranes. Yantai Shunda is deeply involved in the full chain of "polyester polyol—compound polyether—polyurethane spraying/panel—engineering design—engineering construction." The two parties will form a strong alliance, focusing on five major high-energy-consuming scenarios: renovation of old cold storage, integrated ground insulation and vapor barrier for new cold storage, marine and LNG cryogenic insulation, full lifecycle protection of energy pipelines, and coal mine safety sealing. They aim to create zero-carbon models that can be replicated and promoted.
According to the introduction, DuPont's low-pressure two-component polyurethane product uses the fourth-generation HFO low-GWP environmentally friendly foaming system, featuring low thermal conductivity, self-extinguishing when out of fire, fast curing, and portability. The developed waterproof breathable vapor barrier membrane offers characteristics such as cold lock, moisture expulsion, anti-condensation ice expansion, lightweight space-saving, and maintenance-free single construction. Combined with Yantai Shunda's developed compressive polyurethane spray product, leveraging Yantai Shunda's comprehensive localized sales network, integrated engineering delivery system, and nationwide warehousing and logistics system, it can achieve "product + design + sales + construction" one-stop delivery. This deeply empowers the cold storage industry with energy, land, and cost savings, carbon reduction, and assists customers in upgrading their system insulation and vapor barrier solutions, promoting high-quality development within the industry.
The next step is to jointly establish a cold chain energy-saving joint laboratory, focusing on HFO polyurethane foaming technology, and continuously incubating new generation insulation and vapor barrier solutions that are low-carbon, energy-saving, and recyclable. This aims to contribute a world-class example to China's "dual carbon" strategy and illuminate a green future for the global cold chain industry.
