DeLorean Drives Into K Fair! HolyPoly Reconstructs the Plastic Recycled Material Supply Chain With a “Future Perspective”
HolyPoly Company invites guests to the 2025 K Fair to embark on a "time travel" journey aboard the classic DeLorean DMC-12 from the movie "Back to the Future." The company hopes to draw public attention to a pressing issue: the shortage of high-quality recycled plastic materials.
Fridolin Pflüger is preparing to embark on a journey back to the future.
During the K fair in 2025, visitors can experience a "time travel" ride in the DeLorean DMC-12 at the booth of HolyPoly GmbH, a model widely known from the movie "Back to the Future." This German startup seems to have "returned from the future," bringing with it currently unrealized achievements: a stable supply of high-quality, cost-effective post-consumer recycled materials. "We offer booth visitors an opportunity to 'travel' to 2035," said Matthias Röder, HolyPoly's marketing manager. "They will look back at the next decade through a 'rearview mirror of history'—such an experience may change their perception of the present."
A unique "Appointment with the Future"
HolyPoly stated that the initiation of this event was due to the shortage of high-quality recycled engineering plastics. The company expects this issue to worsen drastically in the coming years. "In response to this situation, HolyPoly has introduced a solution through its Brand-Owned Material Streams. With this new initiative, we are 'delivering the future in advance' for brand manufacturers by providing a reliable supply of recycled materials at stable and competitive prices," Roder explained.
Previously undeveloped and unused waste raw materials form the foundation of these new types of recycled plastic material streams. "We transform these material streams into traceable, high-quality recycled materials, fully customized according to customer requirements." This model enables HolyPoly to stay ahead of competitors by securing supply capacity for customers; at the same time, it sets a new standard in the recycled material market for sustainable quality and price stability.
This "Journey to the Future" is specially designed for professionals in specific fields—those responsible for the practical operations and strategic planning related to the application of recycled materials within enterprises, covering areas such as product management, R&D, procurement, material sustainability, and innovation. "On this ‘journey’, our vision will become reality," said HolyPoly CEO Fridolin Pflüger. "Our clients can easily achieve their targets for recycled content in engineering plastics, because we have secured a stable supply from new sources and are developing it into a unique circular ecosystem."
High-quality recycled plastic material is in short supply.
Develop new material streams and create "virgin-grade" recycled materials.
In response to these needs, Puflug proposed a solution. "At HolyPoly, we are developing new, traceable sources of raw materials derived from previously unused waste plastics, such as discarded washing machines and dishwashers," he explained. As an expert in the field of recycled plastics and circular economy strategies, HolyPoly has developed high-quality recycled materials that can rival virgin plastics; for example, in terms of color accuracy, Puflug claims it is "unmatched in the current market and is a crucial factor for manufacturers' brand recognition."
HolyPoly collaborates with leading manufacturers across various fields, focusing on the production of durable products, including electronic devices, automotive parts, and toys. Currently, the company has provided customers with customized recycled materials — these recycled materials are fully adapted to the customers' application scenarios and have been successfully put into mass production.
In light of the growing crisis of high-quality post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR plastics) shortage, HolyPoly has launched a new service. Leveraging the "Proprietary Material Flow" program, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and brand manufacturers will have the opportunity to secure a supply of specific recycled materials—these materials come from limited, exclusive plastic recycling streams, ensuring exceptional quality.
The recycler buyers will become co-owners of the entire material flow (from raw material supply, through the entire processing, to factory output), thereby ensuring access to the materials they need in the future starting from the present. Through this model, HolyPoly provides an innovative solution for recycled material procurement that can replace the traditional post-consumer plastic market (which mainly relies on mature waste streams such as packaging) as well as virgin material (whose prices tend to be highly volatile). "Unlike bulk commodity suppliers, the value we offer is unique: innovative quality, guaranteed supply, and long-term stable pricing," said Pfüger.
