Changan Automobile: First In-Vehicle Component Robot to Be Launched in Q1 Next Year

On November 23, Changan Automobile released an investor relations activity record, mentioning that in terms of robotics business, Changan Automobile is laying out its intelligent automotive robotics technology and business around core scenarios with a "1+N+X" strategic framework.

In the field of humanoid robots, collaborate with head partners to jointly develop humanoid robots and break through core technologies such as the robot's "brain," "energy," and "drive."

In terms of product layout, we focus on the research and development of humanoid robot technology and high-end applications, driving and empowering other smart mobility/automotive robots. Based on factory, store, home, and special application scenarios, we adopt a three-step approach of short, medium, and long term to integrate commercial and technical aspects, creating multiple embodied intelligent robot products.

It is reported that Changan Automobile is expected to gradually release prototypes starting next year and continue iterations; in addition, it is expected to launch the first vehicle-mounted component robot in the first quarter of next year.

During the visit and experience session, Changan Automobile demonstrated to participating investors the humanoid robot "Xiao An" with autonomous walking, martial arts dance movements, voice interaction, and other related functions.

The humanoid robot "Xiao An" is reportedly 169 cm tall, weighs 69 kg, has a speed of 0.8 m/s, and features 40 degrees of freedom throughout its body, with a battery life of over 2 hours. It is capable of interacting with humans, demonstrating martial arts, assisting in human work, among other functions, while additional features are currently being developed and tested.

At the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, Changan Automobile's exhibition booth also showcased humanoid robot products.

In addition to humanoid robots, Changan Automobile has plans in other emerging fields.

In the field of flying cars, we aim to release the first manned flying car product by 2026 and achieve mass production and delivery by 2028. We will comprehensively expand and commercialize market applications such as low-altitude tourism, road rescue, high-rise firefighting, and energy operations. In the unmanned commercial field, leveraging our existing capabilities and future market analysis, we will actively explore unmanned cleaning vehicles, unmanned agricultural machinery, and exoskeletons.

In addition, Changan Automobile will collaborate with partners to enter the unmanned logistics market. As early as October 2025, Changan Kaicheng signed a strategic cooperation agreement with JD Logistics. Leveraging Changan Kaicheng's strong vehicle capabilities and JD Logistics' comprehensive technological logistics scenarios, they will jointly and deeply customize the development of smart logistics vehicles, enhancing logistics operational efficiency through intelligence, and jointly promote the transition of smart logistics vehicles from technology validation to large-scale application, opening a new chapter in future smart logistics.
