Breaking the Silence: Unified Standards for Energy Consumption Testing of Domestic Hopper-Type Plastic Dryers Established
Plastic dryer energy consumption detection will have standards to follow!

On September 25, good news came from Ningbo—The group standard "Energy Consumption Detection Method and Evaluation for Hopper-type Plastic Dryers" has successfully passed expert review. The formulation and implementation of this standard will effectively promote the plastic machinery industry to develop in a green and low-carbon direction, marking the arrival of the first scientific and standardized technical standard in the field of energy consumption detection for hopper-type plastic dryers in China.

As the company responsible for drafting the standard, Huare Machinery provided important technical support for its formulation, leveraging its technological accumulation and practical experience in the field of plastic drying equipment. The standard was proposed and designated by the Zhejiang Province Plastics Machinery Industry Association, with Huare Machinery taking the lead, and other participating units including Xinyi Electric Heating Machinery Co., Ltd., Ningbo Smaner Electric Co., Ltd., Ningbo Haitian Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and the National Plastic Machinery Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.
The review meeting invited a panel of authoritative experts from the industry, including Professor and Senior Engineer Bao Jun from the Ningbo Standardization Research Institute, Professor and Senior Engineer Guo Yiping from the Zhejiang Plastic Machinery Industry Association, Engineer Zheng Ji from the National Plastic Machinery Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Engineer Jiao Xiaolong from Haitian Plastic Machinery Group Co., Ltd., and Engineer Shen Jiaming from Ningbo Huameida Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

At the meeting, the review experts provided professional revision suggestions for the draft standard for approval, including changing the standard name to "Energy Consumption Testing Methods and Evaluation for Hopper Plastic Dryers" and adjusting the corresponding chapters and clauses, adding definitions for "drying capacity" and "loading capacity," optimizing the chapter structure, and making editorial revisions according to GB/T 1.1—2020 requirements. They also highly praised it as "filling the domestic gap and reaching an advanced technical level in the country."
The formulation of this standard will address the lack of testing methods for energy consumption in the drying of raw materials during the production of plastic products (one of the three major energy consumption aspects of product manufacturing), helping to improve the standard system for energy consumption detection methods in plastic product manufacturing machinery. Promoting this standard will help to standardize and unify the energy consumption testing methods for dryers, curb disordered and false advertising of energy-saving effects in the industry, promote healthy competition in the industry, and drive the dryer industry towards a direction of energy saving, greenness, and low carbon for high-quality development, thereby increasing comprehensive economic benefits and providing a basis for the national energy-saving product certification.
Hua Re Machinery stated that the company will continue to actively participate in industry standardization work, promote technological progress and standardization construction in the field of plastic machinery, and contribute to the high-quality development of the industry. The successful approval of this standard not only reflects Hua Re Machinery's technical strength but also showcases the company's commitment to the development of the industry.
