Breaking! Huntsman "Joins Hands" with COMAC

On November 4th, according to the official WeChat account of Huntsman China, the Advanced Materials Division of Huntsman Group has recently reached a strategic cooperation with COMAC, and its two EPOCAST edge and gap filling materials have officially passed the material specification certification of COMAC.

Huntsman's EPOCAST series products have previously been successfully applied to structural components of the domestically produced C919 aircraft, providing flexibility to the aircraft's interior structure. This certification means that Huntsman has officially entered the China Commercial Aircraft Corporation (COMAC) supply chain, further validating its technical strength and product reliability in the field of high-performance aerospace sealants.

As the "national team" of China's aviation industry, COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) is rapidly growing into a significant force in the global aviation manufacturing sector. According to industry forecasts, the C919 model's compound annual growth rate will reach as high as 23.8%, with the market size expected to reach approximately $9.7 billion by 2033. COMAC plans to significantly increase its annual delivery volume from 50 aircraft in 2025 to 145 aircraft by 2030, achieving nearly threefold growth. This process will profoundly reshape the global aviation market landscape.
