Black sesame intelligence launches sesamex platform: Breaking Through with Multi-Dimensional Intelligence to Unleash "Whole Brain Intelligence" in Robotics
After decades of evolution, intelligence is resolutely moving from the digital world and cyberspace into the real physical world. The next decade belongs to the "New Era of Robotics." On November 20th, the "Multi-dimensional Evolution, Intelligent Empowerment for New Life" 2025 Black Sesame Intelligent Robotics Platform Product Launch was successfully held in Shanghai, officially introducing the SesameX Multi-dimensional Intelligent Computing Platform aimed at the robotics industry. This is the industry's first dedicated deployment platform for the commercialization of robots.
Dan Jizhang, founder and CEO of Black Sesame Technologies, stated: "As an industry-leading artificial intelligence computing platform company, Black Sesame Technologies will leverage our R&D and mass production experience accumulated in the smart automotive industry to directly support new applications in the robotics field. We believe we can play a leading role in the evolution of embodied intelligence, just as we have in the smart automotive industry, by creating a 'multi-dimensional intelligent engine' for robots and driving the development of the robotics industry."

From autonomous driving to embodied intelligence.,Cross-domain extension of technological accumulation
Robots are gradually entering people's daily lives, and it is expected that by 2040, there will be a billion-strong robot production industry and a trillion-dollar market. However, for robots to become assistants and partners in human reality, further development and accumulation of embodied intelligence technology are still needed.
Looking back at the evolution of intelligent carriers, it can be said that smart cars are the first stop for embodied intelligence. Black Sesame Intelligence has participated in and witnessed the vigorous development of smart cars: in 2020, it was the first to release the highest computing power automotive-grade chip in China at that time—the Huashan A1000, which is currently the most mature, with the highest number of mass-produced models and the best cost-performance ratio single-chip solution for integrated driving and parking; in 2023, it launched the industry's first high-performance cross-domain integrated chip platform—the Wudang C1200 family, achieving a technical breakthrough with four-in-one integration; and in 2025, it will release a chip platform for the next generation of AI models with higher performance and efficiency—the Huashan A2000 family, supporting full-scenario general driving assistance and empowering various application scenarios, including general computing.
Hezhima Intelligent's safety, perception, and computing systems honed in the field of intelligent driving are precisely the technological foundation most needed for embodied intelligence. The launch of the SesameX multidimensional embodied intelligent computing platform marks the expansion of Hezhima Intelligent's development path from intelligent driving to the embodied intelligence industry, including robotics, representing an "expansion" of technology, experience, and overall capability.

The naming of the brand "SesameX" embodies the platform's five core values: eXpertise, eXcellence, eXpression, eXperience, and eXpedition.
For a robot to be effectively deployed, a comprehensive platform solution is required. Only with native support for automatic deployment, data collection and feedback, continuous algorithm iteration, and constant model updates powered by computing capabilities, can it truly demonstrate its value in the industry. Black Sesame Intelligent will leverage its leading position in intelligent driving and use safety as its cornerstone to provide a platform solution with multidimensional intelligence, the strongest spatial perception capabilities, and rich interactive abilities, continuing to drive technological advancements in robotics.
Building a "Robot Brain System" on a Full-Stack Computing Platform
The robotics industry faces four major technical challenges: imbalances between the 'big brain' and 'small brain' and between the left and right brains; lack of a security system guarantee, with insufficient security mechanisms from the chip layer to the system layer; fragmented systems with uncoordinated multi-task computing power; and difficulties in algorithmic closed-loop evolution, requiring retraining in new environments. These issues arise not simply due to inadequate computing power, but rather due to the absence of a reasonable architecture to support a truly understanding, planning, control, and security collaborative "nervous system." Addressing these industry pain points, Black Sesame Intelligence has developed SesameX, the industry's first fully stack self-evolving platform supporting full-brain intelligence for the commercial deployment of robots. SesameX is a comprehensive "systematic computing platform from edge modules to full-brain intelligence," featuring full-stack self-development from hardware, software, and toolchains to model ecosystems.
Dr. Xu Jin, the head of Black Sesame's intelligent robot business, introduced that the system structure of SesameX is divided into four layers: the bottom layer is the computing platform, composed of three self-developed modules: Kalos, Aura, and Liora, running on Ubuntu, ROS2, and Black Sesame's self-developed SesameX-RTOS system. The SesameX Network serves as the "neural communication layer" of the entire platform. The second layer is the middleware layer, mainly consisting of the SesameX scheduling engine, SesameX toolchain, and SesameX Runtime, ensuring that various intelligent units work together in a stable, efficient, and conflict-free manner. The third layer is the atomic application layer, divided into task models and atomic models, allowing the robot to be not just a "program executor" but a "skill learner." The collaboration of all layers constructs a trustworthy and reliable safety guarantee.
Among them, the three core computing modules Kalos, Aura, and Liora correspond to the three levels of robot development—vision-driven, sensory-control collaboration, and cognitive evolution—collectively building a complete intelligence ladder for robots.
Kalos can be widely used in low-speed wheeled scenarios such as delivery robots, reception robots, inspection robots, cleaning robots, and educational robots. It is the most mature and cost-effective robotic core in the SesameX platform family, balancing visual perception and motion control, enabling robots to "see clearly and move steadily." Its module size is only 69×55mm, integrating complex designs such as SoC, memory, and power supply, and is compatible with mainstream module interfaces and ecosystems. It supports a rich set of high-speed I/O, allowing for quick deployment in various robotic products.
Aura is suitable for multi-legged robots, inspection and maintenance robots (industrial, power, port), intelligent robotic arms, collaborative robotic arms, humanoid or teleoperation robots, and more. It is a high-performance heterogeneous computing platform, serving as the smartest and most reliable robotic action brain within the SesameX platform family, enabling robots to "understand the world and act precisely." Aura boasts a computational power of 70 TOPS and multimodal synchronous acquisition capabilities, with an industrial-grade module size of only 82×54mm. It supports multi-camera inputs, IMU synchronization, TSN networks, PCIe, and M.2 expansion, among other high-bandwidth interfaces.
Liora is an all-encompassing computing platform for embodied intelligence, and it is the fastest and safest robotic brain in the SesameX platform family. It supports world models and end-to-end control, enabling robots to "think, predict, and make autonomous decisions." Its maximum computing power can reach nearly 600 TOPS, with a super-integrated computing architecture for CNN and Transformer that can simultaneously handle complex tasks such as speech, vision, touch, and behavioral decision-making. Liora is suitable for embodied intelligent humanoid robot scenarios, including service or educational humanoid robots, dual-arm collaborative robots, and emotional interaction robots.
These three core computing modules, combined with the upper-level software and algorithm systems, form a "robot brain system" that is hierarchical, collaborative, and evolving.
Xu Jin emphasized that the SesameX platform is built on two key concepts. First, the most important aspect of robot applications is safety. In the world of SesameX, safety is no longer a standalone function but an "intelligent attribute," which SesameX defines as "Action = Safety." Second, future robots will no longer be "pre-programmed executors" but "intelligent beings capable of self-growth." The SesameX architecture will make all of this possible.
