B. Braun Medical announced that it has launched an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience to prevent disruptions in the supply of medical devices and pharmaceuticals from affecting patient care.

The initiative is calledSupply Assurance PlanThe company, headquartered in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA, stated that the plan ensures the core distribution centers' warehouses.Days Inventory Outstanding (DIOH) reaches 45 days.This value is nearly double the industry standard of 24 to 28 days; at the same time, B. Braun Medical will maintain sufficient safety stock in its three owned warehouses in the United States.
