Annual 12,000-Ton TPU New Material Industrial Park Project Selected for the 2026 Hunan Provincial Major Industrial Projects List

On June 12, the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on the “2026 Hunan Province Major Industrial Projects List (First Batch),” which included a total of 156 major projects.

The Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology stated that, for projects included in the major project list, the department will give priority to recommending them for national special programs such as the National High-Quality Development Program, ultra-long-term special treasury bonds for equipment upgrades in the industrial sector, and special re-lending for equipment upgrades, while also providing focused support through provincial programs such as the Advanced Manufacturing Highland Construction Program and provincial financing subsidies for equipment upgrades.

Among these projects is the Zhangjiajie Qihui New Materials Co., Ltd. annual production of 12,000 tons TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) new materials industrial park project.

It is reported that in November 2022, Zhangjiajie Qihui New Materials Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with Zhangjiajie High-tech Zone to develop an industrial park project for the annual production of 12,000 tons of TPU new materials. In April 2024, the project obtained its filing certificate; in December 2024, its environmental impact assessment was approved; and in November 2025, construction of the project commenced.

The total investment for the project is 250 million yuan, located in the Zhangjiajie High-tech Industrial Development Zone, covering an area of 49,950 m² and a total construction area of approximately 60,000 m². The main products include TPU film, EVA hot melt adhesive film, TPU hot melt adhesive film rolls, waterproof strips, waterproof membranes, and supercritical foamed membranes.

Zhangjiajie Qihui New Materials Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guangdong Huiqi New Materials Co., Ltd. It is also currently a leading domestic manufacturer of supercritical continuous extrusion foamed TPU films and the world’s first manufacturer to adopt an in-mold three-layer co-extrusion processing technique. The company is deeply engaged in core processes such as supercritical physical foaming and in-mold three-layer co-extrusion.

The company has established an internationally leading supercritical physical foaming continuous extrusion production line and achieved major breakthroughs in supercritical foamed polyurethane materials and seamless hot-melt adhesive films. It has successfully developed ultra-light, high-resilience TPU foamed sheets for athletic shoes, high-elasticity recovery seamless films, and high-temperature, water-pressure-resistant seamless waterproof strips. The company has now become a leading enterprise in the application of polyurethane materials in footwear and apparel in China, supplying well-known domestic and international sports brands such as ANTA, Li-Ning, 361°, Adidas, Nike, and New Balance.

According to publicly disclosed information, by the end of 2025, the company’s total assets amounted to RMB 94.33 million and its operating revenue reached RMB 157.83 million. The company has an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of high-performance thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film, and it is expected to achieve full-capacity production throughout 2026, with output value expected to exceed RMB 300 million.
