ALBIS Enters Latin American Market Through Acquisition of Tecnomatiz
Zhuansu Shijie has learned that recently ALBIS has further strengthened its international market presence by acquiring a majority stake in the Brazilian distributor Tecnomatiz. This entry into the Latin American market marks an important milestone in the company's global development process. With Tecnomatiz, ALBIS will provide its product solutions to customers in Brazil.
Brazil is one of the world's major economies, with a vibrant economy, a strong domestic market, and close international connections, offering a highly attractive economic environment. "Entering the Brazilian market is an important milestone for ALBIS in achieving its global expansion," emphasized CEO Horst Klink. "Through Tecnomatiz (a company under the ALBIS Group), we will create an ideal platform to establish a long-term foothold in the Latin American market and unlock the market potential of the region."
Since its establishment in 1973, Tecnomatiz Resinas Ltda. has developed into a leading supplier in Brazil’s plastics industry. This engineering plastics distributor enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry thanks to its long-term customer relationships and extensive, mature operational network. Going forward, it will continue to operate under its original name, managed by General Manager Sergio Salinas. “I am pleased to have the opportunity to further develop the company together with ALBIS’s renowned distribution partners, and to offer our customers a broader range of high-quality product solutions and services,” said Salinas. Existing partnerships with BASF and Envalior will be maintained, and additional distribution partners will be gradually added.
ALBIS aims to offer its complete portfolio of products and services in Brazil. Pablo Esteras, General Manager of ALBIS Iberia and Regional Sales Director for Latin America, is responsible for ensuring a smooth integration and will lead ALBIS’s operations in Brazil and the Latin American region. “ALBIS has established a leading market position in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and has accumulated extensive expertise,” Esteras stated. “We are now bringing this experience and network to Latin America in a focused and strategic manner. Entering this new market is an exciting challenge. I am proud to be part of this process and to support ALBIS in becoming a truly global company.”
