On March 13, according to the relevant provisions of the "Interim Measures for the Implementation of Safety and Reliability Arguments for Chemical Processes First Used in Anhui Province," the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology organized a safety and reliability argumentation meeting for the first use of chemical processes in the expansion project of Zhongxi New Materials (Anhui) Co., Ltd. for the annual production of 30,000 tons of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and 3,000 tons of polyethylene medical special materials. After on-site inspection, questioning, and review by the expert panel, they unanimously agreed to pass the argumentation.

On February 11, 2025, a design kick-off meeting for the expansion project of Zhongxi New Materials (Anhui) Co., Ltd. to produce 30,000 tons of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene per year and 3,000 tons of medical-grade polyethylene per year was held in Meeting Room 1 of Anhui Enter Technologies.

The continuous slurry process adopted by Zhongxi New Materials is currently the leading technology in the domestic UHMWPE industry. This process allows the molecular weight of the product to range from 1 million to 10.5 million, meeting the stringent material performance requirements of various high-end application fields. Compared with domestic intermittent process production enterprises in the same industry, the equipment operation is safer, the product quality is more stable, and the production cost is lower.

In 2024, Zhongxi New Materials completed its Series A financing, with well-known investors such as Yunzhongma (603130.SH) and CRRC Investment Fund taking stakes, providing strong financial support for the company's development. Currently, the company is undergoing a Series A+ financing to accelerate the construction of Phase II production capacity, building new facilities with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons and a small-scale pilot line with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons, to meet the growing market demand for high-end UHMWPE products.

Currently, Zhongxi New Materials has scaled up the production of 7 categories of high-end products, covering multiple fields such as fiber materials, high-modulus materials, medical materials, profiles, customized special materials, dedicated materials, and filter materials.

Among them, the fiber material has passed international authoritative bulletproof tests, with a strength of over 40cN/dtex, and is applied in fields such as bulletproof equipment and deep-sea ropes; medical materials have obtained Class III medical device certification, becoming the preferred material for high-end medical consumables such as artificial joints and surgical sutures; membrane materials break the monopoly of Japan and South Korea, with lithium battery separator tensile strength exceeding 200MPa, suitable for the needs of new energy vehicle power batteries; photovoltaic wire wheel special materials have wear resistance surpassing imported products, helping to reduce costs and increase efficiency in photovoltaic modules. The gross profit margin of some high-end products can reach over 50%, demonstrating Zhongxi New Materials' competitiveness in the high-end market.
