0.1 mm: A Motor Precision Achieved on a Hydraulic Press—Haitian’s New Product Launch

In April, the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai was bustling with crowds. At the 2026 China International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (CHINAPLAS 2026), covering over 200,000 square meters, Haitian International’s booth (5.1 C32) remained one of the most densely populated areas. Around the world premiere of the MA5/Ultra hydraulic flagship model, onlookers formed crowds three layers deep; beside the demonstration screen for X-Injection Cloud, engineers and procurement managers stood shoulder-to-shoulder, diligently recording technical specifications.

Haitian, an injection molding machine manufacturer founded in 1966 and having journeyed through a full 60 years, no longer needs to prove itself with gestures. In the 2025 fiscal year, Haitian International's overall revenue reached 17.7 billion RMB, with 7.6 billion RMB from overseas exports, and its products are sold in over 130 countries and regions globally. As the world's top injection molding machine supplier in terms of shipment volume, every appearance of Haitian at the Chinaplas exhibition is regarded by the industry as setting a benchmark for the direction of the industry.

However, if we only look at the numbers, we would miss the more noteworthy aspects of this company—its unwavering focus over 60 years, and behind that focus, the simple yet profound commitment to consistently delivering value to the customer's workshop.

Flagship Debut

At CHINAPLAS 2026, Haitian’s most prominent new product is the MA5-generation platform flagship upgraded model—the MA5/Ultra (the debut model showcased is the MA1600V/570Ultra). This marks the official global premiere of the series and serves as Haitian’s clear signal to the high-end hydraulic injection molding machine market.

From a technical perspective, Wu Jun, Vice President of Haitian Plastics Machinery and General Manager of the Three-Plate Machine Product Line, distilled the “Fast, Precise, Economical, Versatile, Intelligent” five keywords for the MA5/Ultra. However, when examined individually, each keyword addresses real-world cost pressures faced by customers on the shop floor.

First, speak of speed and precision.The injection speed of the MA5/Ultra models with 250 tons and below can reach up to 150mm/s, reducing the dry cycle time by 10%. At the same time, Haitian has equipped this machine with its self-developed high-performance dual proportional valves and the new generation motion control card, ensuring the mold opening repeat positioning accuracy remains stable at 0.2mm, and the injection repeat positioning accuracy reaches 0.1mm. These two figures have entered the precision range of all-electric injection molding machines — and the carrier is a hydraulic machine. On-site demonstration proved this: the MA1600V/570Ultra produced, in 35 seconds, a 1.8g air conditioning fan blade using an 8-cavity mold and PBT+30% GF material (polybutylene terephthalate with 30% glass fiber reinforcement, commonly used in home appliances and automotive parts requiring heat resistance and high strength), achieving high speed and high precision simultaneously on the same machine.

Again, the province.

In addition to this flagship machine, Haitian also showcased the JU5500V/3450 injection molding machine. It employs a micro-opening, mark-free physical foaming process—put simply, supercritical fluid is uniformly introduced into molten plastic, naturally forming a microcellular structure within the part. This achieves significant weight reduction without compromising surface appearance. At the booth demonstration, using PA+20%GF (nylon reinforced with 20% glass fiber), the machine molded a 125-gram automotive engine cover in just 55 seconds. Weight reduction, dimensional stability, and flawless surface finish—three objectives that previously often conflicted with one another—are now simultaneously achieved by this machine.

Xu Bin, Head of Haitian’s Global Industry Division, used a vivid metaphor in an interview: “In the past, people evaluated the quality of an injection molding machine based on its individual efficiency and precision. Today, times have changed—we now focus more on the overall production unit and the value it delivers to customers.”

This statement almost precisely captures the trajectory of Hai Tian's strategic focus shift in recent years.

The Chinaplas 2026 exhibition booth serves as a tangible representation of this transformation. In addition to the MA5/Ultra and JU foaming solutions, a third demonstration setup comprises the Changfeiya ZE1900VM-210hu/V80hs and the Japanese Niigata MDVR75, jointly configured for precision molding of drone propeller blades and propeller clamps. This setup forms a fully automated production cell—originally requiring two operators per machine for part removal and assembly, the integrated system now achieves genuine manpower reduction.

“We’re not just selling a piece of equipment—we’re showing our customers what their production line could look like in the future,” Xu Bin said proudly.

"Welcome media friends to find time to visit and experience Ningbo Haitian." At the press conference at the exhibition site on April 22, behind this simple invitation lies a company's attitude of opening its ecosystem to the industry.

X- Injection Molding Cloud:

If MA5/Ultra represents Haitian's advancement in hardware, then the official launch of X-Injection Cloud marks a critical step for Haitian in software and intelligence dimensions.

Chao Gang, chief scientist of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute at Haitian Group's Research Institute, defined it as the "external brain of the injection molding machine" at the press conference—a AI intelligent solution centered on the concept of "industrial intelligence brain and terminal coexistence," specifically designed for injection molding scenarios.

The pain points in the injection molding industry are well-recognized: experienced masters are becoming fewer and more expensive; the debugging of new molds relies on a mystical "feel"; and the process deviations in batch production are like a black box, often only detected after the scrap rate has risen.

The four core functions of X-Plastic Cloud almost directly address these pain points:

Intelligent First Molding Process RecommendationFor new molds without historical data, simply input the mold and material information, and the system can retrieve the built-in model library, outputting initial molding parameters within seconds. Based on the real-time process curve of the injection molding machine, it automatically calculates the theoretical and actual deviations, providing targeted correction suggestions. With this tool, new engineers can quickly approach the level of experienced machine adjusters.

AI Defect Diagnosis and ImprovementRegarding common injection molding defects such as shrinkage, flash, short shot, and flow marks (note: these are surface or structural issues caused by improper control of temperature, pressure, and speed), the system includes built-in process expert logic that can directly recommend parameter adjustment solutions. More importantly, its self-learning engine: when engineers manually adjust parameters to solve problems, the system automatically records the cause-and-effect relationships, transforming this difficult-to-express "touch" into a visual experience graph, permanently accumulating as the company's digital asset.

Real-time Production Process AlertIn the mass production phase, the system decomposes each molding process curve into millions of micro-features.
