Wanhua Chemical’s announcement dated October 9 (Interim Announcement No. 2026-59) stated that the Phase II 1.2 million tons/year ethylene unit at its Yantai Industrial Park will commence a scheduled shutdown for maintenance on October 10, with an expected duration of approximately 60 days. During the maintenance period, the Phase I 1.2 million tons/year ethylene unit will continue normal operations. The company indicated that this shutdown is part of its annual planned routine maintenance and will not have a significant impact on its production and operations.
