Ningde Times: Nearly 1,000 Chocolate Battery Swapping Stations Built by 2025

This marks the first complete presentation of the vehicle's exterior design, manufacturing process, battery technology, and battery swapping details. As the Aion UT Super continues to roll off the production line, the vehicle's pre-sales and test drives have also fully launched on the same day, with the official release scheduled for November 9.
At the communication meeting, Zhang Kai, the Chief Technology Officer of CATL's battery swapping business, elaborated on the "two-step" strategy for the battery swapping business: "Our battery swapping business will be promoted in two phases, starting with the To B market, followed by expansion into the To C market. For battery swapping services, the To B market is currently a mature market with clear demand, while the To C market is a key process for us to quickly obtain consumer feedback and establish brand recognition."

He further pointed out, "In the To C business, we have launched a variety of on-demand battery swap packages to meet the diverse needs of users."
Zhang Kai also revealed that "CATL aims to build 1,000 battery swap stations this year, and by October, we are close to completion, basically covering two-thirds of cities nationwide, allowing users to find a station within about 10 kilometers. By 2030, our goal is to reach 10,000 to 20,000 stations, with a final plan to build 30,000 stations, making battery swapping as convenient as refueling."
