TwinPegs AS

TwinPegs AS is a Norwegian company established in 2018. The purpose of the company is to design, produce and sell twin foot peg kits based on the TwinPegs™ product idea invented and patented by founder Kai Ingvald Flateland. Kai Ingvald is a motorcycle enthusiast from Southern Norway. Married to Turid Kjetland, two children, Katrina and Magnus. They all live on the family farm Flateland, where Kai Ingvald grew up with his siblings, learned to love playing in nature, worked harvesting the forest as countless generations before, and repaired all kinds of machinery, with his father as teacher. His hands were often dirty. He hold a Msc degree in Mechanical Engineering and Product Development from the technical university NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. His career has until now been in mechanical engineering and product development in the Norwegian industry of Offshore Oil and Gas production. He have also travelled the world as a service engineer for a company who made offshore and onshore oil drilling equipment. His parents tried to keep him away from motorcycles for a long time, but at the age of 15 no force in the world could prevent him from buying his first Yamaha DT50. His first real motorcycle was a Yamaha XT500 78′ in 1995. In 1998 a Yamaha TRX 850 96′ was purchased, and after the first season it was stripped for unnecessary parts, like fairing etc. It is still his main road bike, used for commuting, Street legal dragrace competition, and traveling. His first enduro bike was a KTM 620 LC4 94′ bought in 2003. Today he occasionally competes in enduro races, at a modest level, with his Yamaha WR250F 16′. A heavily modified Yamaha RD350 YPVS 84′ were used for a flying km land speed record on a frozen lake in Årsunda, Sweden, in 2016 – Rollie Free style. The best run resulted in an average speed of 180.0 km/h, top speed 187.89. Not bad with a 32 year old 350 ccm on ice. This bike is now modified into a flat track racer. Kai Ingvald is interested in all kinds of motorcycles, but he prefers the modified ones. The core of the TwinPegs™ concept is to “RIDE FASTER FURTHER!”
