Strange Parts

We’re visiting JLC’s CNC service in Zhuhai, China, to see how a Chinese CNC factory operates. We see them start from cutting raw stock and go through the full machining process, all the way to the final hand polishing and packing process. See inside Prusa Research’s factory to see how they make their 3d printers (using their 3d printers!) and their filament. See how LEDs are made! We’re visiting World Semi’s factory in Dongguan, China, just outside of Shenzhen. We’ll see how the infamous WS2812 addressable RGB LED, aka the Neopixel, is made from bare silicon wafers to finished working LEDs. It’s one of the coolest factories I’ve ever been to. They have amazing machines that do Today we’re going to see how desktop CNC mills are made. We’re going inside the Makera factory, a relatively new Chinese startup that went from a few guys who wanted to make drones in their spare time, to running a very successful kickstarter and building out a complete factory. We’ll see how they make very Come see how flexible circuit boards, or FPCs, are made in a Chinese factory. We’re visiting one of JLCPCB’s circuit board factories in Shaoguang, China, a few hours outside of Shenzhen. We’ll see how they’re made from raw material to finished circuit boards. Are you an electronics geek or a DIY enthusiast that loves soldering This laser repairs OLED phone screens by repairing broken internal traces – without taking the screen apart or even turning it off! This is the closest thing I’ve seen to real magic in a long time. This machine is going to make people a LOT of money. We’re visiting a giant factory in China that makes lipo iPhone batteries, aka lithium polymer batteries, and seeing how they are made from start to finish. This is by FAR the coolest and biggest factory I’ve been to to date. Thanks to Pisen for showing us around!
