What a library is for books is a play library for toys. The play library has an extensive and varied collection of toys for children aged 0 to 12 years. The play library has a new category of toys: O= Open Ended Toys This toy emphasizes playfulness. It is play without imposed patterns. It encourages children to use their imagination and creativity; they determine what they want to do with it. There are no rules. It gives children the freedom to explore, learn, and feel good while playing. Thanks to a contribution from Rabo ClubSupport and sponsorship from Sustainable Play from Aalten, the play library was able to purchase this new toy. The toy assortment includes the following toys: - 6 stacking stones with balance board (entirely sponsored by Sustainable Play) - Wooden play figures - Wooden balance stones - Magnetic tiles - Magnetic racetrack - Wooden block world - Sensory blocks - Playbox with magic sand This category will be supplemented over time with new materials. An informational brochure will be available at the play library. The Rabo ClubSupport action raised € 270.11. The play library will use this money to buy "open-ended toys." The volunteers of the play library thank everyone for voting. The goal of Speel-o-theek de Blokkendoos is to stimulate the play development of children aged 0 to 12 years. We achieve this goal by offering play and play materials, providing information and guidance to members about the suitability of toys and games. Playing, children learn everything. Besides play pleasure, they also develop their social skills, motor skills, thinking ability, and language. The play library has an extensive and varied toy collection. We offer you the opportunity to always have a variety of toys available. Our toys are divided into different categories, each stimulating a different development of the child. There are several reasons to become a member of the play library: - You can first experience whether a toy is fun enough before you decide to purchase it. - Buying toys is very expensive. - There is too much toy available for purchase, and you cannot bring everything home. - Sometimes, very little is played with the toys bought at home. - You want your child to encounter different types of toys. Do you recognize yourself in this? Then it is a good idea to come by and visit us. You can become a member of the play library starting at € 12.50 per year. Additionally, we ask for a rental fee for each toy. It doesn't matter what you take each time; you and your family can decide for yourselves. Our assortment is also very suitable for children's and/or neighborhood parties. We have several fun theme boxes and various other game materials.
